HAYLEY TURNER: I had one bet at York this week, and it won! I put £40 on Magical Memory. I was going to put my winnings on So mi dar but, I chickened out. She’s such a tiny little thing, I convince myself that Epsom was a fluke. Something that small could not be that good! The pocket rocket proved me wrong, I should have known better. I’ve ridden load of horse with zero size and scope. Margot Did was pint size and she won a Group 1 with me.

I had a sneak preview of the new horse racing museum in Newmarket which is due to be opened in September. It’s going to be brilliant! The way things have been displayed is very cool and modern, and most importantly, I’m in it!

I’m on my way to Newbury as I’m writing this. I’m doing a talk for a club day. It will be weird going racing and not being in the weighing room. I’m getting a lift with Rab Havlin, I’m using his in car wifi, it’s so handy, particularly when you live in your car, which all the jockey do. When I was riding I spent more time in my car that my house.

Pointel a horse I’ve been riding out is running in the 4.15 at Newbury. He ran a super race first time out at Windsor and has really come on for that. I’m pleased the will be a bit of juice in the ground, he’ll enjoy it.

I’m looking forward to seeing Global Applause again in the opener at Newbury. He has been one of the most striking 2yr olds so far this year when winning first time out for Ed Dunlop at Newmarket. I think his main danger is Mehmas is who will have learnt an awful lot having been round Chester. Ed has another on later

Despite the small field the following race has turned out to be a cracker. Eagle top need to prove that his blip at the end of last year was a one off. He is the class horse in the race. David Simcock Carnachy has done nothing but improve. She beat her stablemate last time at Goodwood, I’m not convinced that was fair and square, she God a lovely ride and had first run. The one I’m keen on is Star Storm, I’ve been leading this horse in his work and he’s been going very well. You’d have to put a line though his last race, they crawled round and it didn’t at all suit him. He come out that race a different horse.
