DON WON: SHAMROCK capped a profitable week at Cheltenham with his THIRD NAP in four days when DON COSSACK (NAP) won the Gold Cup at 9/4.
It looked a tougher day yesterday and so it proved but the nap was landed with Don Cossack at 9/4.
My tipping highlights were:
SIX WINNING BETS FROM SEVEN on Thursday
THREE WINNING NAPS FROM FOUR
Tue: VROUM VROUM MAG (NAP) WON 4/6
Wed: UN DE SCEAUX (NAP) 2nd
Thu: LIMINI (NAP) WON 4/6
Fri: DON COSSACK (NAP) WON 9/4
WEDNESDAY’S DIAMOND: Diamond King WON 12/1
Back to normal (whatever normal means in the fast changing world of racing !!) and my nap is Alamein (2.45 Gowran Park) in the Gold Cup winning colours of Gigginstown !!
The six-year-old is stepped up in trip after a good run here last time out when runner-up to Haymount.
The extra trip should suit and Alamein, winner of a bumper, can gain a due first success over hurdles.
Biggest danger is probably the Gordon Elliott trained Blessed King who has done most of his racing over this trip.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
