After a 9/2 winning nap last night, forgive me for playing at shorter odds today in an act of ‘sequence preservation’ !!!
I’ll certainly know my fate early as the nap is Mitchouka in the opener at Punchestown at 12.05pm.
The Gordon Elliott trained runner was only pipped a short head on debut at Thurles but came on bundles for the run and seemed to relish the softer ground when bolting home by 10 lengths at Fairyhouse last time out.
It was an impressive win and he should surely account for those with previous form her leaving just the newcomers to worry about. Pick of these might be North Carolina representing Joseph O’Brien. He only had one flat start and that was well over a year ago.
