BETDAQ VALUE COMPLETES SUPERNAPS TREBLE: Daqman landed a hat-trick of supernaps yesterday with a 2.52 BETDAQ bet, which was the medium of a gamble in to 8-11 as a winning favourite.
WON 8-11 CAPTAIN CATTISTOCK (BETDAQ 2.52 taken)
WON 4-6 UNCLE ALASTAIR
WON 11-10 TARA BRIDGE
THE HIGHS AND LOWS OF THE JUMPS FORM: Today he takes a check on the way form is working out in the low-level Jumps races during the week. Tomorrow he’s back to the big races with his bull’s-eye bets and a Saturday supernap.
ALL FIVE LAST-TIME WINNERS LOST
Is midweek form really that bad? I usually tip against last-time-out winners running in low-level (class 5 and 6) races. They rarely run to the same form twice.
But would you oppose them with horses that pulled up on the last day? I wouldn’t do so as a matter of course, but I know a man who would.
And he bet me a fiver he’d make more profit in February backing PU than I would backing WLT (won last time out).
So I’m keeping a check on this (class 5 and 6 only). Is it just bar talk that more PUs are winning than ever before?
Here are the current contenders in the low-level races. I shall keep a profit-and-loss account and update the results once a week this month.

I’M OPPOSING THE CHIEF..
2.55 Catterick If ever a horse won a shocking bad race and is flattered by the result, it must be Kansas City Chief. He won a big-field handicap, though easy to back at 9-2.
But how much confidence was there in the others? Answer: four started 12-1, one 14, one 16, one 18-1, two 20, two at 25, two 33-1, six 50-1, one 66.
Only the 9-4 favourite was backed, and it ran a stinker to finish seventh, 42 lengths behind the winner.
Yet the handicapper was impressed! He hiked Kansas City Chief a stone, so that he’s top weight here, despite competing a grade higher.
There’s not much that’s in your control or comfort zone today, so let’s play for the craic with a small-stakes lay (2.42 this morning in the BETDAQ green).
There was some kind of cloud over Dark Sunset, fancied at 7.6, so I checked out Planet Nine and Niceandeasy – which one? – to give me a double whammy.
Planet Nine looks interesting, officially getting 12lb from the favourite. Possibly has a touch of class, and is unexposed stepped up in trip.
At Perth, he beat a Nicky Henderson winner, which then ran second to a Listed-place hurdler.
3.20 Chepstow Noel Fehily will want to win the race that advertises his blog. When I went to it, the blog was out of date. No help there, then, regarding Molly Carew. The mare’s beginning to look like a bridesmaid (form figures 323 since November).
Maybe Quiz Master (an 8.2 BETDAQ offer) can turn the corner here, with Colin Tizzard bouncing back to form with a hat-trick yesterday.
Two out of the three of his yesterday winners were beaten around the same time that the stable – and Quiz Master – was out of form.
4.15 Lingfield Archie Watson is in devastating form (current figures 141124121), and Dutch Uncle could be worth a punt at 4.7 on BETDAQ in first-time blinkers.
5.45 Wolvehampton Perhaps last-time winners in class 6 AW are also for mug punters only. I’m working on it.
There’s nothing like putting the system to use in an actual race, so we have to oppose Diamond Reflection, a Kempton winner on the last day.
I fancy on pound on Filudo, who’s been gradually finding his feet and is brought over from Ireland by Gordon Elliott (current form 1120213) and ridden by Jack Osborn (20313). BETDAQ 7.0.
DAQMAN’S BETS (staked to win 20 points)
BET 5.4pts win (nap) PLANET NINE (2.55 Catterick)
BET 2.75pts win QUIZ MASTER (3.20 Chepstow)
BET 5.4pts win DUTCH UNCLE (4.15 Lingfield)
BET 3.3pts win FILUDO (5.45 Wolverhampton)
