BALLINROBE NAP: SHAMROCK heads to Ballinrobe on Tuesday for his nap running in the beginners chase at 7.30pm.
Rashaan is a multiple winner on the flat and over hurdles and should add a first chase success to his CV in the McHale Fusion 3 Plus Beginners Chase – the 7.30pm at Ballinrobe tonight.
He was sent off favourite for his chasing debut at Limerick but failed by three quarters of a length to peg back Damut (Cliff House four lengths back in third). The winner wasn’t disgraced in better company next time out.
With the benefit of that experience he should prove hard to beat in a race that won’t take much winning – despite the large field size.
The Willie Mullins trained Orion D’Aubrelle looks the danger after showing much more over hurdles at Punchestown last time out when fourth (at 40/1) to A Great View. He now tries his hand over the larger obstacles and might be suited by the faster ground.
