CARABAO CUP: We preview Tuesday’s Carabao Cup game between BURTON ALBION v NOTTINGHAM FOREST with extended stats and a recommended BETDAQ bet.
BURTON ALBION V NOTTINGHAM FOREST
7.45pm We have live Carabao Cup action on Sky Sports tonight as Burton Albion take on Nottingham Forest. These two sides will be looking forward to showcasing their talent in the Cup on Sky Sports without facing a big Premier League side and it’s a massive game for both – indeed this is the first time that Burton have made it to the Last 16 and the first time since 2004/05 for Forest.
Forest are favourites with the match odds at the time of writing currently trading; Burton Albion 3.6, Nottingham Forest 2.24 and the draw is 3.55. Burton have had a really good run to get here and shouldn’t be underestimated – they’ve have beaten the likes of Aston Villa and Burnley – and they will have an excellent atmosphere behind them tonight.
Forest have beaten teams from the Premier League to get here too; they have beaten Newcastle and Stoke – Newcastle are obviously struggling this season but Forest have improved as the season has gone on. They’ve only lost two games this season however they still sit outside the top six in the Championship – too many draws has been the problem.
We feel that Forest are too short here at 2.24. Burton have been impressive in the Cup this season and with Clough in charge – he has placed a huge importance on the League Cup. Having home advantage is a major plus and we feel that Forest should be bigger than the current odds available – the 2.24 looks a great value lay.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Nottingham Forest at 2.24.
