STAKING PLAN SAVES THE DAY: DAQMAN left it late on Tuesday after his first two picks ran well below form but saved the day with Motorious – a well-backed 6/4 winner at Wolverhampton. That ended up just being enough to pay for the day on his recommended staking plan.

AYR COUNTDOWN TODAY AND TOMORROW: The Ayr Gold Cup meeting starts tomorrow, with Daqman sharpening his arrows for some bull’s-eye bets on big prices he finds every year on BETDAQ, always calculated to win 50 points. They don’t always make gold but, as you’ll see, there’s more than small change from silver and bronze.

BETDAQ VALUE IS GOLD AT AYR

⚠️ HEADS UP Daqman is a crack shot on one of his happy hunting grounds, riding the range of Sprint trophies at Ayr from bronze (on Friday) to silver and gold (on Saturday).

The three-day Ayr festival starts tomorrow, and again features the same big weekend split of the acceptors for its famous sprint. Here are just the biggest of Daqman’s hits in the triple event.

They reveal that, in each race, morning offers on BETDAQ were worth double, or even more than double, the SP of some of his winners.

Tomorrow: Facts and figures for Day 1 at Ayr

MOSTAHDAF HAS THE MOST CHANCE

⭕ 3.30 Sandown (Chasemore Farm Fortune Stakes Listed Race) A host of non runners at the Esher track after a fairly dramatic change in going for their final flat meeting of the year. It’s now heavy in places on the round course.

There’re three out of the featured Listed race over a mile – all of which had claims on the formbook but not necessarily on the ground.

It might be worth keeping things simple and sticking with the John and Thady Gosden trained Mostahdaf who was a course and distance winner two starts ago on soft ground. That also came at Listed level in the Heron Stakes with him beating the favourite Highland Avenue and in doing so extended his unbeaten sequence to three.

The sequence was ended abruptly at Royal Ascot in June when he only beat one home in the St James’s Palace Stakes. However, he was badly hampered that day and the form is best ignored. It also came on good to firm ground so wouldn’t be too significant in terms of today’s race anyhow.

He remains an exciting prospect and should come into this a fresh horse after a 92 day break against rivals who, in the main, have been kept busy including Escobar who is ultra-reliable and could easily grab a piece of it again.

HARSTON FOR HARRY

⭕ 5.10 Sandown Harston won well last time out at Lingfield on good to soft and had previously run a close third at Lingfield on soft ground so we should have no ground worries.

The Harry Eustace trained runner is entitled to improve further on just her fifth start given she hasn’t been overly published by the handicapper with just a 3lb hike.

Missile looks modest, despite being trained by John and Thady Gosden and there are ground question marks over BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE rivals Super Proud and Light Of Thunder.

CHAPATI LOOKS THE CHAP TO NAP

⭕ 6.00 Kelso Chapati already looks better over fences than hurdles and gets the vote almost by default here.

He made all to win well at Stratford last time out and could easily dominate here. I couldn’t be taking short prices about Cool Country (third in this last year but pulled up in two starts this season) or Authorizo (well below form in last three starts).

DAQMAN’S BETS (staked to win 10 points)
BET 5.0pts win MOSTAHDAF (3.30 Sandown)
BET 3.2pts win HARSTON (5.10 Sandown)
BET 5.3pts win (nap) CHAPATI (6.00 Kelso)

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
