SUNDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews Sunday’s games between ROMA v EMPOLI and REAL MADRID v SOCIEDAD both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
ROMA V EMPOLI
7.45pm It’s great to have domestic football in Europe back this weekend, and we have another excellent day on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE on Sunday with action from Serie A and La Liga. We start in Serie A where we have a brilliant weekend with Juventus v Lazio and the Milan Derby both on Saturday, but Jose Mourinho’s Roma host Empoli here under immense pressure already. They’ve started their season with only a draw from three games, and they actually sit in the relegation zone at the moment! They were beaten here by AC Milan before the International break, but the draw against Salernitana and the loss against Verona were obviously very big setbacks considering what level those sides were playing to last season. That has obviously put Roma massively on the back foot, and as always with Jose Mourinho it’s very interesting times ahead when things don’t go right. The vibes are he’s already not having new contract talks which I have to say I was surprised at considering the fans absolutely adore him in Rome. The problem is how long he can hold onto the dressing room for when he isn’t getting what he wants on the pitch. We’ve watched this episode before as they say!
This is another fixture that Roma will be expected to win. They come into the game as the odds on favourites too – they are trading 1.46 at the time of writing with Empoli 8.4 and the draw is 4.6. Anything bar a Roma win will really set the alarm bells ringing! Empoli are one of the few sides with a worse record than Roma this season as they have lost their opening three games against Verona, Monza and Juventus. Empoli weren’t in the relegated battle last season, but they were very average and weren’t far away from the bottom clubs. Despite the poor results to start the season, Roma have played decent football. They had the fourth highest average xG figure from the opening three matchdays and they have conceded an average xG of less than 1.0 so far – only three clubs in Serie A can say that so far. I know morale must be fairly low given the results, but I can’t see past Roma here and the 1.46 is too big to turn down in my opinion. I won’t go crazy with the stakes, but the 1.46 is worth a confident bet.
The Ultra Says:
Three points win Roma to beat Empoli at 1.46 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

REAL MADRID V REAL SOCIEDAD
8pm Next we move over to La Liga for a cracker to finish Sunday as Real Madrid host Real Sociedad. After four matchdays, Real Madrid were the only side with a perfect 100% record. They started the weekend sitting top of the table, and things are looking good so far – although you just know we’re going to have a brilliant title race this season because Barcelona have looked very good too. The big two are the only sides averaging an xG of over 2.0 per game! Real Madrid have been exceptionally impressive and they’ve had some tricky fixtures too – their average xG created is 2.29 and they’ve had to play athletic Bilbao and Celta Vigo away from home. Not exceptional tough fixtures, but tricky places to go to each season. This is the start of a massive week for Real as we have the Champions League next week and then the Madrid Derby against Atletico next weekend. Real Sociedad will be hoping to spoli the party, and they would have been delighted to see Sevilla sitting bottom of the table before the International break. That opens up the top four spot again; and it’s also a massive week for Real Sociedad who begin their Champions League journey – that must be very exciting for them! They started the season a little lacklustre with three draws but they finally got a win against Granada. They draws against Girona, Celta Vigo with home advantage and Las Palmas were disappointing though. Their games haven’t had many chances, and they’ll be trying to keep this game as tight as possible.
Real Sociedad don’t have the best record against Real Madrid. They have only managed five wins from the 27 meetings with 18 wins for Real Madrid. One of those wins for Sociedad did come in the last meeting though. We usually see drama and goals – 70% of the meetings between the sides have finished with Over 2.5 goals! If you fancy goals here, Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.92 which I’m sure will be a popular bet. I like the Real Madrid win at 1.69 however; Real have started the season on fire and it’s clear looking at the xG figures than Sociedad aren’t creating much. They haven’t had a difficult fixture list either, and with home advantage I can’t see past Real Madrid here. The 1.69 is ten ticks too big in my opinion, and I feel we’re getting so much value it’s worth a Max Bet.
The Ultra Says:
Five points win Real Madrid to beat Real Sociedad at 1.69 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
