PREMIER LEAGUE MONDAY: The Striker previews BRIGHTON v BOURNEMOUTH both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
BRIGHTON V BOURNEMOUTH
8pm We have Monday Night Football from the Premier League to enjoy this week on Betdaq Betting Exchange! Brighton host Bournemouth in what will be billed by Sky Sports as a South-Coast Derby; but it’s hardly the biggest of rivalries in the Premier League! Both sides have been quite lacklustre this season – Brighton are sitting in mid-table and Bournemouth are down in 15th. Both are creating a decent level of chances and should be higher in the table, but they’ve both been sloppy at the back – Bournemouth especially so!
Bournemouth must be gutted to be sitting down in 15th while having the sixth best attacking figure in the Premier League. For example, Liverpool have an average xG created of 1.65 while Bournemouth are just 0.06 off that on 1.59. They have been impressive in attack, but that has come at a cost going forward. Their average xG conceded is too high at 1.48 but at the moment they are conceding an average of close to two goals per game. As the old saying goes, you don’t win many games conceding two goals.
Brighton should also be higher in the table – they have the eighth best attacking figure in the Premier League and they’ve actually been getting away with things at the back. Their average xG conceded is quite high as well at 1.45, but they haven’t been conceding all those chances. With home advantage, Brighton come into the game as the odds on favourites at 1.95 with Bournemouth 4.0 and the draw is also trading 4.0 at the time of writing. Given the results from both these sides this season, it’s quite easy to pick holes in both of them and it’s hard to have a lot of confidence in either. The 1.95 on Brighton looks quite short, but Bournemouth have been so sloppy at the back.
I’m happy to say out of the match odds market here because this game screams goals. Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.53 and Both Teams To Score is two ticks bigger at 1.55. I couldn’t put anyone off either bet in what should be a very open and attacking game. Both sides like to attack – I can’t see Bournemouth coming here to just defend, and they make so many mistakes at the back too. I do feel it’s personal preference what bet to go with, but I’m happy with a confident bet on Both Teams To Score at the marginally bigger price.
The Striker Says:
Three points win Both Teams To Score at 1.55 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
