KEMPTON NAP: Daqman has three Monday bets including his nap at Kempton for the team that started the new Flat season so well on Saturday.
2,000 GUINEAS CLUES: The 2,000 Guineas is looking the most open for years at this stage. Stay tuned over the coming weeks as Daqman counts down to the first colts classic on May 2 at Newmarket with stats and form pointers.
THE BEACH LIFE
⭕ 2.10 Kempton Richard Hannon and Sean Levey made a stunning start to the new flat season at Doncaster on Saturday and can continue the good work on the all-weather this afternoon with Barefoot Beach in this six furlong novice event.
The three-year-old is penalised 7lb for her debut course and distance success last season when she was weak in the market but still sprinted home by three lengths.
She’s also been entered up for a mile event here on Wednesday but connections seem keen to keep her at the six furlong sprint distance for the time being.
Main danger on the Betdaq Betting Exchange market is Mehmas Engine who was sent off an odds on favourite for her debut at Southwell last month but could only finish third to Hayynah. The form is modest and not really boosted by the run of the 40/1 runner-up on her next start but Mehmas Engine is entitled to improve for the experience.
A GRADE SELECTION
⭕ 4.10 Kempton Straight A makes the long journey down from Mick Appleby’s Yorkshire yard and is overdue a return to the winners’ enclosure after a string of placed efforts since his last win in January 2025.
It’s not often you can say he finished a ‘close up’ 9th of 10 but that was the case on his last visit here when only beaten three and a half lengths in a race which the handicapper has no doubt framed the finish of on his wall! He’s now 5b lower in the weights and has a good draw in stall two here.
Our Dagger is surprisingly prominent in the market despite having his first start for 154 days. His form tailed off dramatically when trained in Ireland and is now having his first start for trainer Adrian Wintle who will be looking to rekindle his form. Our Dagger is 2-2 on the all-weather – including a course and distance win last February.
FLAME LOOKS HOT
⭕ 6.30 Wolverhampton Al Durry is set to be sent off favourite for this class 4 handicap but her Southwell maiden win was only modest and her starting handicap mark of 80 looks tough enough – even allowing for expected improvement.
A better option might be Arcturus Flame who is a little more streetwise and brings a reasonable level of form to the table including an Ascot runner-up spot last May. He’s run well after a break before so the 117 day break shouldn’t be an issue.

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
