11/4 WINNING NAP FOR SHAMROCK MAKES IT TWO NAPS IN A ROW: SHAMROCK’s NAP on Wednesday THE VATICAN WON 11/4 to follow up Tuesday’s NAP RALLY WON 6/4. Can he get the NAPS HAT-TRICK TODAY?
It’s the first day of the Newmarket July Meeting and Aidan O’Brien looks to have an outstanding chance of collecting the Portland Place Properties July Stakes at 2.10pm with Sir John Hawkins.
The two-year-old justified favouritism on debut at the Curragh in the Big Bad Bob Stakes and then headed to Royal Ascot where he was third to runaway stablemate War Command. O’Brien reports him to be in good form since that race and is the sort to relish fast ground.
He sets the form standard, but as always that can be dangerous in a field such as this where are so many potential improvers including three unbeaten colts.
For the nap I’m staying in Ireland and going with Al Destoor in the opener at Leopardstown at 6.00. He was second to The Vatican (my winning nap last night) at the Curragh on his only start and with that form taking a timely boost should be able to open his account. Hopefully we can get close to evens on BETDAQ.
SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Al Destoor (6.00 Leopardstown)
NEXT BEST: Sir John Hawkins (2.10 Newmarket)
