Sky cameras are heading to the seaside at Yarmouth tonight for the TV Trophy on Sky 3.
Races are competitive and there’re not too many I can get involved in. The main event, the 9.19, should go to the odds on fav Musical Gaga with his main rival Farloe Tango having 7 1/2 lengths to make up on Nottingham form.
The race I like is the 7.49 – probably the worst race on the card 😉
Trap 1 Bandicoot Sasha has had four UK starts with two wins both b2 and b3 at Peterborough where it started out of trap 3, it’s never come out of trap 1 and never been around Yarmouth. Expect him to move middle.
Trap 2 Skips Special is yet to break his duck in the UK after 10 starts for Mark Wallis. Skips has yet to reproduce his Irish form where he was
2/2 in Tralee and the 28.65 he did in a Yarmouth trial isn’t good enough.
Trap 3 Salthill Wonder 15 races, six wins all in Wimbledon in a5 to a1. He lacks a bit of early and is 0/2 away from Wimbledon and never been around Yarmouth, I don’t fancy it.
Trap 4 Mollys Hope 0/6 in the UK ex Mays Haven won 2/3 Irish starts over 750yds (!!!) at Limerick. He is also desperate for the rail and combined with the trip, there are too many minuses with this dog.
Trap 6 Kendles King 1/6 in a3 company 28.59 with a sectional of 5.44, he went up to a2 grade and open company but couldn’t handle it so I don’t fancy.
My selection is Trap 5 Donnys Angel who is 5/23 and has progressed from a3 to a1 and ran with credit in a recent open. He is perfectly housed in Trap 5. Has a best recent time of 28.16, with a sectional 5.36. Let the gates open and it’s GAME OVER.
Trading around 2.75 and I don’t expect that price to last.
Of the other races, the 7.34 looks a match up between 1 and 3, I favour Trap 1 Swift Keith who has track knowledge.
In the 8.04 the only thing that can beat Trap 5 Aayamzabella is the draw.
