Gary Hooper’s early strike at Tannadice helped Celtic to a fifth successive SPL win to maintain the escalating pressure on Rangers. With no European game in the week for a change, Neil Lennon has had a decent period to work with the squad in time for Hearts’ visit.

Even though Hearts have found things tough in recent weeks, Hoops fans know all too well of the threat the visitors offer after a 2-0 defeat when they last clashed at the start of October. However, all the momentum is now with the Hoops as Hearts slipped up against St Johnstone last time out.

Paulo Sergio’s lot have also struggled on the road in recent weeks and have failed to find the back of the net in their past two away SPL games. More encouragement for Hoops fans is that Hearts have lost on the past three visits to Celtic Park and have hemorrhaged nine goals in the process.

Celtic just look too strong coming into this clash and the price of a home win is currently trading at around 30/100 on BETDAQ 1BET. Given the one-sidedness of the recent meetings between the two clubs, I’d be more inclined to back Celtic on the -1.5 Asian handicap again at 4/5 on BETDAQ 1BET.
