I’m off to Craven Cottage for Sky on Saturday. Both Fulham and Stoke are much stronger on home turf and that’s why the hosts edge the betting. It’s going to be a tight game as neither score many and the Cottagers are sweating on the fitness of starman Dimitar Berbatov.

Fulham have failed to score in their past two league games, while Stoke have bagged only two in six away league outings. It all points to a low scoring game and one that looks set to finish all square.

If Manchester City’s task of retaining the league title wasn’t tough enough, they could be a staggering 15 points behind their biggest rivals by the time they kick off against Chelsea at the Etihad on Sunday.

Roberto Mancini’s rallying call had the desired effect against Leeds in the FA Cup as they convincingly beat the Championship side. Sergio Aguero stared for City and Mancini has argued his goals can get the club back in the title race. I’m not convinced about that given United’s advantage, but I’m sure he can cause the Blues all sorts of problems on their visit.

City have an excellent record over Chelsea at the Etihad. They have won the past three home league games against Chelsea, although they’ve been tight. Each of Chelsea’s previous three defeats have been by a one goal margin.

Monday night’s action sees West Ham welcome Tottenham to Upton Park on the back of a really poor performance at Villa Park. That defeat was to be expected due to the Hammers’ troubles on the road and as usual they are a different proposition in East London.

Tottenham though haven’t lost in the league since going down 2-1 at Goodison Park at the start of December. They also have Gareth Bale, who is in the form of his life. He’s scored six of Spurs’ last seven goals and is more than making up for Jermain Defoe’s enforced absence.

Andre Villas-Boas will know by Monday night whether they can leapfrog Chelsea into third or whether they are having to win just to keep pace with the West London outfit. Spurs have only lost once in five visits to Upton Park; including three wins and I expect them to pick up another three points here.
