This weekend is all about the North London derby and the fascinating battle for the Champions League places. It is always a cracking match and the past two games have produced 14 goals, with Arsenal twice winning 5-2.
A home win would see Andre Villas-Boas’ side extend their lead over their fiercest rivals to seven points and would increase the pressure on Arsene Wenger as his team battle for that coveted final Champions League spot.
The Gunners have failed to win a league game at White Hart Lane since September 2007 and I can’t see that changing on Sunday. Spurs are also unbeaten in their last 11 league games.
Gareth Bale is unstoppable at the moment and deserves all the praise he’s getting. Carl Jenkinson is set to be handed the task of trying to halt the flying Welshman and that looks a step too far for the young Arsenal right back.
Bale has hit eight goals in his last six games and has 19 for the season in all competitions.

Monday night’s game sees Aston Villa welcome Manchester City to Villa Park. I thought Villa were a little unlucky not to get something from the Emirates last time out and the defeat kept them in the bottom three.
Manchester City will likely head into the game staring at a 15 point deficit given that the league leaders entertain Norwich at Old Trafford on Saturday.
I was really impressed with City last Sunday against Chelsea and that’s the kind of performance that was commonplace last year. To me it was obvious just how much they rely on Yaya Toure and he could have a field day against the inexperienced Villa midfield.
Villa haven’t kept a clean sheet for 16 straight games and this looks set to be another comfortable win for the visitors. City have beaten Villa twice already this season, so take the 2.07 on BETDAQ for them to win by two goals.
