8pm Manchester United are back in action at Old Trafford quickly after another disappointing home result in the Premier League. They just aren’t creating enough in front of goal at the moment and look like a disjointed side. They will welcome the obvious drop in class here; however another but an easy win will be another reason the pressure piles onto Jose Mourinho.
The market expect a very easy United win, with the match odds at the time of writing currently trading; Manchester United 1.25, Derby County 15.5 and the draw is 7.0. It would be fair to assume that Derby would snap your hand off for a draw here; however with the way United have been playing lately maybe they want the win!
United simply outclassed Young Boys in the Champions League last week and possibly that is a sign of what is to come tonight. Derby will come to Old Trafford and put up a solid show, however ultimately United should win this one with a bit of ease. It will be very interesting to see what XI Jose Mourinho names, as he will more than likely rest some players. Some of his first XI need goals and a confidence boost though; so you could see a strong XI too!
We expect United to win, however not with style. They’re just not playing free flowing football at the moment and we expect that to continue here today. Any Other Home Win (United to score four or more goals and win) looks very short at 3.85 and we’re happy to lay those odds. Perhaps the United lay at 1.25 offers a little value for a trade – however Mourinho’s men will get the job done in the end.
