CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: We preview Wednesday’s Champions League games between JUVENTUS V MANCHESTER UNITED and MANCHESTER CITY V SHAKHTAR with recommended BETDAQ bets.
JUVENTUS V MANCHESTER UNITED
8pm Manchester United are back in action in the Champions League tonight and they won’t be looking forward to this clash. They were totally outclassed by Juventus two weeks ago in Old Trafford and it’s hard to see how they can turn things around when they couldn’t get close to Juve at home. They grinded out a good away win against the in-from Bournemouth in the Premier League at the weekend; however they remain vulnerable away from home and Juventus are obviously a huge step up on the likes of Bournemouth.
The home side are odds on favourites with the match odds at the time of writing currently; Juventus 1.66, Manchester United 6.8 and the draw is 3.85. Juve have had their best start to a season domestically – they were always a top class side but they obviously have CR7 to take them to the next level this season. We can’t see past a Juve win here – they have been top class all season and with United continuing to struggle we simply have to back the 1.66 on Juve – it looks massive.

MANCHESTER CITY V SHAKHTAR
8pm Manchester City started their Champions League campaign with a shock loss; however they have bounced back quickly and normal service has resumed you might say! The markets are expecting a very easy win for Pep Guardiola’s men tonight as they are currently trading 1.13 in the match odds market. That’s an incredibly short price in the Champions League; however it isn’t even the shortest price tonight – Bayern are 1.1 to beat AEK Athens!
Obviously with City so short we have to look elsewhere in the markets for some value. Shakhtar have an excellent home record so it was very impressive that City were able to win 3-0 away from home two weeks ago – that would suggest we can expect more goals and perhaps an even easier win tonight. City are banging in the goals for fun at the moment and with home advantage now we feel we will see a wide margin win – Any Other Home Win (City to score four or more and win) is trading 2.5 in the Correct Score market and that looks great value after seeing the teams play each other two weeks ago.
