CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TUESDAY: We preview tonight’s Champions League Qualifier first leg between HOFFENHEIM v LIVERPOOL with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
HOFFENHEIM V LIVERPOOL
7.45pm It hasn’t been a good week for Liverpool to start their season. The future of their star man Coutinho is still up in the air and judging from Saturday’s game against Watford, Klopp still hasn’t fixed their problems at the back with set pieces. A poor result tonight would be an absolute disaster for the club so early in the season, and maybe the main aim tonight should be getting back to Liverpool with the tie still up for grabs.
The match odds at the time of writing currently stand at; Hoffenheim 3.25, Liverpool 2.36 and the draw is 3.65. Winning away to Hoffenheim certainly won’t be an easy task for Liverpool, and they look pretty short at 2.36 – Hoffenhiem finished a solid fourth in the Bundesliga last season, just two points behind Dortmund. They actually drew the most games in the league too, so the draw might appeal to many at 3.65 – especially considering Liverpool would be happy enough with a draw tonight.
As always with these ties, we might get a cagey start, and under 2.5 goals is 2.26 which might be a good trade. However, we can’t get away from the Liverpool lay at 2.36 – considering their weakness at set pieces and Hoffenheim being good in this department, it’s very hard to see Liverpool keeping a clean sheet and while they might be able to score at the other end, the 2.36 on the away win just looks too short.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Liverpool at 2.36.
