CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: Two huge games tonight after surprise results in both of the first legs. It’s Man City v PSG at the Etihad and Real Madrid needing to come to terms with a 2-0 deficit at the hands of Wolfsburg in the other game. Both kicking off at 7.45pm.
Manchester City v PSG 7-45
If we see as much action tonight as we had in the first leg we should be in for a cracker! From the 11 times previously a team has gone into the second leg after a 2-2 draw at home in the first leg, only 2 have gone through – so PSG face a tough task tonight. However, given City’s poor defensive record this season, especially in the Champions League – PSG will be confident they can score, indeed they have scored at least twice in their last five Champions League games. Zlatan Ibrahimovic has come into superb form just at the right time for them too, scoring in his last five Champions League games as well – he has never scored six a row though!
While PSG have only won one of their last seven visits to English teams (when they beat Chelsea this year), City have only managed one clean sheet in their last nine Champions League games – and with PSG in good scoring form lately, they look value to win in 90 minutes around the 2.5 mark. Over 2.5 goals is also of interest around the 1.7 mark in what could be quiet an open game.

Real Madrid v Wolfsburg 7-45
What a shock the first leg was with Wolfsburg winning 2-0! Even after the second goal went in, Madrid were still hanging around the 1.5 mark to qualify – they are out to 1.95 now. Worryingly Madrid only managed three shots on target in the first leg, but with their impressive home record they should be able to turn this around. A huge positive must be that they haven’t conceded a goal at home in the Champions League this season – conceding early would be a disaster but that record is obviously impressive.
Madrid have won 29 of their last 34 games at home in the Champions League, while Ronaldo has scored 37 goals in his 35 Champions League games at the Bernabeu. They should have enough firepower to bounce back here. It’s worth noting that Wolfsburg have conceded four of their last five goals in the Champions League in the last 15 minutes, maybe its all set up for a late Ronaldo goal to send Madrid through!
