CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: We preview Tuesday’s Champions League games between BARCELONA v TOTTENHAM and LIVERPOOL v NAPOLI both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
BARCELONA V TOTTENHAM
8pm It’s the final Matchday of the Group stages in the Champions League and Spurs find themselves in the horrible position of needing to win away to Barcelona. They had a terrible start to their Champions League campaign this season and now they have it all to do. They have been playing some good football in the Premier League this season and perhaps Barcelona aren’t as strong as they have been in the past looking at their La Liga results this season, however it’s still very hard to see Spurs getting a win at Camp Nou.
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Barcelona 2.14, Tottenham 3.3 and the draw is 4.2. Spurs will take a lot of hope from the fact that this game means nothing to Barcelona with them already Group winners and it’s highly likely that they will rest players. The market has factored that in though with the home side 2.14 – we still feel though that even allowing for the Group circumstances that Spurs are too short at 3.3. We can see that price drifting massively if Barcelona pick a strong XI, and even if they rest players we’re still happy to lay Spurs at 3.3 at Camp Nou.

LIVERPOOL V NAPOLI
8pm There’s no doubt that Group C is definitely the most interesting Group situation tonight and everything is to play for. Liverpool simply must win after really slipping up against Crvena Zvezda and they’ll only have themselves to blame if they don’t qualify for the next round after a poor result like that. The good news for Liverpool fans is that they are at home and that is a massive plus for a game as important as this one. They’ve scored seven goals in their last two games and we’re bound to see another wonderful European night at Anfield.
Liverpool are odds on favourites with the match odds at the time of writing currently trading; Liverpool 1.65, Napoli 5.7 and the draw is 4.5. Napoli managed to beat Liverpool 1-0 when they had home advantage earlier in the year and it’s hard to see anything but a very close game here. Liverpool have been very impressive in the Premier League this season but haven’t transferred that form through to the Champions League. We’re expecting a very close game and from a value of point, we’re happy to lay Liverpool at the odds – we expect Napoli to make the odds of 1.65 on Liverpool look way too short.
