CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TUESDAY: We preview Tuesday’s Champions League action with the games between DORTMUND V TOTTENHAM and REAL MADRID V AJAX both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
DORTMUND V TOTTENHAM
8pm Many punters may think this tie is effectively over after Spurs won the first leg 3-0; however do not underestimate Dortmund at home. Dortmund have beaten Atletico Madrid 4-0 here in the Champions League already this season and it would be fair to say that Atletico are a better defensive team than Spurs. Dortmund are also unbeaten in the Bundesliga here this season and while Spurs have really grinded out some good results away from home this season, they arrive here having lost their last four away from home in all competitions.
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Dortmund 2.02, Tottenham 3.9 and the draw is 3.95. In the ‘To Qualify’ market Spurs are very short – they’re trading 1.08! We feel that Spurs will have to play superbly well to get through here and an early Dortmund goal would really set the tie up immensely. Dortmund’s record at home speaks for itself and they have been banging in the goals for fun here this season too; they’ve netted 40 goals in 12 games. We can’t get away from Dortmund here at 2.02 and Spurs are also worth laying in the To Qualify market.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Dortmund to beat Tottenham at 2.02.

REAL MADRID V AJAX
8pm Real Madrid go into this second leg in a nice position. They won 2-1 away from home and with Ajax needing to score; this is bound to be an entertaining affair. Although Real may be in a good position in the Champions League; they have been very poor domestically this season and we could see the fans getting on top of the players if Ajax were to score first – especially with the home side losing twice to Barcelona within a week. Real need a bounce back win here and it’s a big night for the club.
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Real Madrid 1.68, Ajax 5.6 and the draw is 4.4. As we mentioned, Real are having a very poor season and they even lost 3-0 here to CSKA Moscow already this season. Ajax have been impressive in the Champions League this season and while coming to the Bernabeu and getting a result is a demanding task; we like the Real lay at 1.68. We just feel that price is too short looking at Real’s season and Ajax can make the game closer than those odds suggest. A draw puts Real through too; so they won’t be chasing the game if it’s all square with 20 minutes to go.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Real Madrid at 1.68.
