CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TUESDAY: We preview Tuesday’s Champions League games between CHELSEA v BAYERN MUNICH and NAPOLI v BARCELONA both with a recommended BETDAQ bet and extended match stats.
CHELSEA V BAYERN MUNICH
8pm We have an excellent set of fixtures in the Champions League this week, and we kick off with Chelsea hosting Bayern Munich. The hosts would have got a boost from their win in the London Derby at the weekend against Spurs, but as we seen in the Champions League this season, Bayern are a much better side than Spurs! You have to feel that there isn’t much between Chelsea and Spurs this season, and Bayern should outclass this Chelsea side on all known form this season.
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Chelsea 4.5, Bayern Munich 1.84 and the draw is 4.2. Bayern are currently sitting top of the Bundesliga, but they are only one point ahead of RB Leipzig and there isn’t much between the top five. They aren’t as good as they were under Pep Guardiola but they are still better than this Chelsea side. Chelsea have had a number of disappointing results against weaker sides at home this season and we can’t see past the 1.84 on Bayern here. They have been impressive in Europe this season and can continue their good run tonight.

NAPOLI V BARCELONA
8pm This is a fascinating fixture. All eyes from England might be on Chelsea v Bayern Munich tonight, but from a neutral point of view this fixture is far more intriguing. Napoli were able to beat Liverpool here in the Group stages and also drew away from home an Anfield. This is always a very tough place to come and win, and Barcelona now face a massive test. They are top of La Liga after recent results, but they haven’t been at their best this season by any means. It’s not like Barcelona to only win 17 from 25 games domestically.
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Napoli 3.4, Barcelona 2.24 and the draw is 3.75. Napoli aren’t a top side in Serie A, with Juventus running away with the title – but they remain extremely tough to beat away from home. Liverpool have been fantastic this season and if Napoli can beat them here, they can definitely get a result against Barcelona. With this being a first leg, Barcelona will be happy with a draw and we may see a very cagey affair. From a value point of view we’re happy to lay Barcelona at the odds.
