CHAMPIONS LEAGUE TUESDAY: We preview Tuesday’s matches in the Champions League between ROMA v CHELSEA, MAN U v BENFICA and CELTIC v BAYERN MUNICH with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
ROMA V CHELSEA
7.45pm These two produced an absolute cracker at Stamford Bridge that finished 3-3 last time, so hopefully we get more of the same drama here! Chelsea were heavy favourites going into that game, however now Roma are at home we have a much tighter market – indeed the market is finding it hard to split them. The match odds at the time of writing currently stand at Roma 2.72, Chelsea 2.76 and the draw is 3.65. You’d have to feel that Chelsea are too big at 2.76 – they came into the first clash with Roma off the back of two losses and they have steadied the ship since, they also produced a brilliant away win against Atletico previous to that game and we feel that the market has overreacted to the draw and home advantage here. Chelsea have been solid and should have more class than Roma – the 2.76 looks massive and bet of the night material.

MANCHESTER UNITED V BENFICA
7.45pm United have bounced back very strongly since their shock defeat to Huddersfield, beating Spurs last weekend means they just about keep in touch with City. We could see Mourinho choose to rest players here with one eye on their huge clash with Chelsea at the weekend – they’re away from home too and could sit eight points behind City after Sunday should they lose. With three wins from three games in the Group stages so far, now seems like the best time to rest players. Benfica have lost their three games thus far, only scoring one goal while conceding eight – they look pretty poor and it’s hard to see them scoring away from home. United have only conceded once in their seven games at Old Trafford this season, and they look banker material for BETDAQ Multiples at around the 1.39 mark. However, we feel the value is with under 2.5 goals here at 2.12 which looks too big – we struggle to see Benfica scoring here and with Mourinho possibly resting players United may not score too many. It’s definitely worth checking 1-0 and 2-0 home win prices in the correct score market before kick off too.

CELTIC V BAYERN MUNICH
7.45pm Bayern Munich let our selection down by only scoring three goals when these sides met last time out, however they absolutely bossed the game and ran out easy winners. It’s difficult to see anything but a Bayern win here, and even allowing for the difference home advantage may make to Celtic, it’s hard to see how they can turn things around to be competitive. As we seen when PSG visited here, the Scottish league is vastly below the main leagues in Europe and while Celtic may set records in that, they’re still some way short of top class in Europe. We expect an easy Bayern win and the 1.4 looks too big.
