CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: We preview Tuesday’s Champions League games with a recommended BETDAQ bet. It’s the final set of games in the Group phase and we preview BAYERN MUNICH V PSG, CHELSEA V ATLETICO MADRID, MANCHESTER UNITED V CSKA MOSCOW and CELTIC V ANDERLECHT.
BAYERN MUNICH V PSG
7.45pm When these sides clashed it Paris, it was touted as the first big test for PSG. They passed it with flying colours, easily winning 3-0. However, Bayern have improved since then and they have a superb record at home in the Champions League. So, perhaps this is the real test for the big spending PSG – and it’ll be really interesting to see how they get on. We have a pretty open market, with the match odds at the time of writing on BETDAQ trading; Bayern 2.52, PSG 2.88 and the draw is 3.85.
As we noted above, Bayern have really improved since the sides met in Paris. They have won their last five games in all competitions, scoring 16 goals and only conceding one. While Real Madrid are the only side to actually beat Bayern at home in the Champions League since the 2014/15 season – so PSG have their work cut out! It’s tempting to back Bayern at 2.52 which looks quite big however the value is with the PSG lay at 2.88, that looks way too short against a side like Bayern with their home record.

CHELSEA V ATLETICO MADRID
7.45pm This is an interesting game from a betting point of view. Chelsea are already through and with a busy schedule coming up in the Premier League, it’s hard to know what side Conte may name, although it’s fairly likely it’ll be a strong one. Atletico are in a “need to win” situation (and hope Roma fail to beat Qarabag), having performed vastly under par this season. They have a very strong record away in the Champions League, however they are usually set up to counter attack rather than chase a game a win – so it’ll be interesting to see what way Simeone sets his side up. These two played out a classic last time out and we expect a good game here, with Atletico having more motivation we feel that Chelsea look a shade short here at 2.16, and we’re happy to lay them at those odds.

MANCHESTER UNITED V CSKA MOSCOW
7.45pm United look pretty much certain of top spot in Group A, unless they lose here Basel beat Benfica by four goals. So, It’s likely that Jose Mourinho will take this opportunity to rest some of his key players with the Manchester Derby on Sunday. CSKA have won both of their away games in the group so far, and with Mourinho likely to rest players, United definitely look too short at 1.49. CSKA have a pretty solid away record in the Champions League, and are rarely beaten. It’s tempting to lay United at the odds however CSKA jump off the page looking at the handicap markets. CSKA are currently trading 1.7 +1.5 goals and that looks bet of the nigh material given the situation in this group and the game that United have at the weekend.

CELTIC V ANDERLECHT
7.45pm Considering both these sides ended up in a group with Bayern Munich and PSG, they were never going to achieve much! Celtic are winning the battle for third place though, and can extend their time in Europe as they go into the Europa League. They beat Anderlecht away from home, so they will really fancy their chances at home here tonight. Anderlecht have a woeful away record in the Champions League – they’ve only won twice in their last 38 games. And considering that Celtic were too good for them earlier in the group, it’s hard to see anything but a home win here given Anderlecht are poor travellers – Celtic look too big at 1.9.
