CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: We preview Tuesday’s Champions League games between LIVERPOOL V PORTO and PSG v REAL MADRID with recommended BETDAQ bets.
LIVERPOOL V PORTO
7.45pm This tie is virtually over after Liverpool won the first leg 5-0, however that doesn’t mean that there isn’t value to be had in this leg. It’s very difficult to see how Porto can improve and actually get a positive result here after being thrashed at home, and the markets agree with Liverpool trading 1.56 at the time of writing. If you do fancy an upset, Porto are 7.4 while the draw is 4.4.
On balance, the 1.56 looks too big after seeing the first leg – however with things so tight in the race for a top four position in the Premier League it’s likely that Klopp will opt to rest some players here. This is still elite level football though, so don’t expect too many changes. As we said in the first leg, the match up between the sides just screams goals! Since losing to Liverpool, Porto have scored 12 goals in four games, and Liverpool have netted an impressive 18 goals in their last six in all competitions, including the five against Porto. We weren’t expecting to see over 2.5 goals trading as high as 1.72 – we expected it to be much shorter. Liverpool don’t “close out” games by defending, so we expect plenty of action again here.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Over 2.5 goals at 1.72.

PSG V REAL MADRID
7.45pm What a huge night in Paris, and what a game this will be! Unfortunately for the big spenders PSG, they trail 3-1 after the first leg – getting an away goal will no doubt help their cause, however it’s hard to see them stopping Real Madrid from scoring here either. This should be another very entertaining clash, and the match odds at the time of writing currently trade; PSG 1.99, Real Madrid 3.7 and the draw is 4.2.
PSG look a little short at odds on with Neymar out injured. Di Maria is expected to come in, but he’ll hardly come close to filling Neymar’s boots. With Real Madrid’s chances in La Liga gone, they should have all their focus on this clash, and they’ve had the luxury of resting players in recent weeks too. We can’t have PSG so short here without Neymar against the current Champions, and we’re very happy to lay the home side at 1.99 from a value point of view.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay PSG at 1.99.
