CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: We preview Wednesday’s Champions League games including the mouthwatering clash between BARCELONA v CHELSEA with recommended BETDAQ bets.

5pm Most people will still be enjoying the Cheltenham Festival when this game kicks off, but you’ll have happy if you don’t like horse racing to settle down and watch this tie. Bayern effectively put the tie to bed in the first leg when winning 5-0, and while they may opt to rest some stars here, it’s still elite European football so we expect a reasonably strong side.
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Besiktas 5.6, Bayern Munich 1.63 and the draw is 4.7. As we have seen in recent Champions League games, the big sides sometimes switch off and take a lazy approach to the second leg when they are so far ahead. Bayern’s main aim here will be keeping things quiet and just seeing the game through to the final whistle – as we seen with Liverpool and City. We feel that the 1.63 on Bayern is too short away from home, and they look a good value lay given the situation.

BARCELONA V CHELSEA
7.45pm What a game this will be! Chelsea had the lead for a while in the first leg, however Barcelona battled back to get a 1-1 draw and come away with an important away goal. Chelsea fans will have good memories for the Camp Nou, and perhaps they can repeat their 2012 success! The match odds at the time of writing trade; Barcelona 1.45, Chelsea 8.8 and the draw is 4.9.
Chelsea’s away form in big games leading into this tie has to be a worry. They’ve lost to Manchester United and Manchester City, and Barcelona are a step up on both those sides. They’ve been dodgy at the back lately too, and if any team can tear you apart, it’s Barcelona at home. Barcelona are unbeaten at home all season, and have only lost once – they’ve also been keeping clean sheets at home too, and it’s hard to see how Chelsea can win this game. We feel Barcelona can win this game easily and we like them at 2.22 to cover the 1.5 goal handicap.
