CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: We preview Wednesday’s Champions League games between MAN CITY v HOFFENHEIM and VALENCIA v MAN U both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
MANCHESTER CITY V HOFFENHEIM
8pm Manchester City may have already qualified for the next round of the Champions League however it wasn’t without some hairy moments in an easy Group. They meet Hoffenheim after suffering their first defeat in the Premier League this season at the weekend and have been knocked off the top spot – they may rest a few players here but there’s no doubt that Guardiola will want to make a statement after losing at the weekend.
With Hoffenheim bottom of Group F and Manchester City top, obviously the home side are heavy odds on favourites. The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Manchester City 1.25, Hoffenheim 13.5 and the draw is 7.6. Although Hoffenheim are bottom of the Group, a win here would still see them possibly get into the Europa League depending on the result between Lyon and Shakhtar so it’s not like they have nothing to play for. We can see City staying in second or third gear here even allowing for their loss at the weekend; Any Other Home Win (City to score four or more and win) looks pretty short at 2.7 given the Group situation with City already through and we’re happy to lay those odds.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Any Other Home Win at 2.7.

VALENCIA V MANCHESTER UNITED
8pm Jose Mourinho would have been absolutely delighted when that late goal went in against Young Boys because this would be a very tricky trip if they needed a result. It’s fair to assume that Juventus will top this Group given that they have to play Young Boys and with United second and Valencia certain of third this could have a friendly feel to it. Although United could still top the Group if Juve lose – however it’s fair to assume Mourinho will want to rest players given they have to play Liverpool at the weekend.
We have a reasonably open market with the match odds at the time of writing currently trading; Valencia 2.62, Manchester United 3.0 and the draw is 3.45. The draw is very tempting here given the Group circumstances and looking at Valencia’s home form this season they seem to be draw specialists – six of their eight La Liga games here have ended with a draw. There’s no doubt that this United side love a draw too! They have struggled to break down teams this season and with nothing much to play for here, we like the stalemate at 3.45.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Draw at 3.45.
