CHAMPIONS LEAGUE WEDNESDAY: We preview Wednesday’s Champions League games between AJAX v REAL MADRID and TOTTENHAM v DORTMUND with recommended BETDAQ bets.
AJAX V REAL MADRID
8pm The Champions League Knockouts continue on Wednesday night as Ajax host Real Madrid. Ajax will be a big test for Real Madrid; they are unbeaten in the competition this season and have already beaten Bayern Munich twice. Real Madrid started La Liga very poorly however they have improved in recent weeks – they went to Camp Nou last week and came away with a draw; although Messi didn’t start that game, and they were impressive when winning 3-1 away to Atletico at the weekend.
The away side are odds on favourites nonetheless with the match odds at the time of writing currently trading; Ajax 3.95, Real Madrid 1.93 and the draw is 4.3. It’s hard to see anything but a very high scoring affair between these two looking at the stats and the market agrees with over 2.5 goals trading as short at 1.5 at the time of writing. Ajax have definitely been conceding more goals than Real Madrid though and that has to be a worry for them considering that Real have netted 18 goals in their last six games in all competitions. Ajax were beaten at the weekend and recently conceding six against Feyenoord – obviously their results against Bayern are impressive but are Bayern the force of old? We feel Real Madrid are in very good form at the moment, as seen in the last seven days, and this is a good time to back them.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Real Madrid to beat Ajax at 1.93.

TOTTENHAM V DORTMUND
8pm What a big night for Spurs and you have to say that after pulling off a close to miracle to finish second behind Barcelona they would have been happy to draw Dortmund. The only better result for them could have been Porto, so they have an excellent chance to progress to the next round now; although obviously they still have big injury worries. Since getting knocked out of both domestic Cups, they have grinded out three home wins and they will need to battle hard in this tie.
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Tottenham 2.38, Dortmund 3.25 and the draw is 3.6. Dortmund topped a Group that included Atletico Madrid, albeit only on goal difference, however they process plenty of goal scoring firepower. They’ve netted 12 goals in their last four games in all competitions and Spurs will need to take a lead to Germany in the second leg of this tie. With Spurs missing some key players, we can see Dortmund out-scoring them over the two legs and we like the Spurs lay here at 2.38 – we just feel that this one will be closer than those odds suggest and we’re happy to lay Spurs from a value point of view.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Tottenham at 2.38.
