CHAMPIONS LEAGUE WEDNESDAY: We preview Wednesday’s Champions League games between MAN CITY v TOTTENHAM and PORTO v LIVERPOOL both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
MANCHESTER CITY V TOTTENHAM
8pm Spurs produced a surprise 1-0 win in the first leg of this tie and now for the first time in a while, Manchester City are under pressure – it will be very interesting to see how they react! Spurs will actually have a massive say in City’s season over the course of the next few days as we see this fixture again on Saturday in the Premier League. Spurs arrive into this tie having lost their last four away Premier League games and with a 1-0 advantage; it really couldn’t be better set up!
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Manchester City 1.32, Tottenham 11.5 and the draw is 6.2. In the “To Qualify” market, Manchester City are 1.67 while Tottenham are trading 2.46. Guardiola received plenty of criticism for his team selection after the first leg, it seemed a good time to rest players though – they had big Premier League games coming up and a draw would have been a good result. It backfired a little, but we all know that City have the firepower to get the job done tonight just one goal behind. We expect a completely different showing from City here and expect a very fast start too – they have scored plenty of early goals this season and with Spurs in poor form away from home, we like City to qualify at 1.67 which looks great value.

PORTO V LIVERPOOL
8pm Liverpool were 2-0 up early in the first leg and it looked like they were going to put the tie to bed – it would have been great for Klopp if they scored more so he rest players tonight, however with a final score of 2-0 it just leaves the door a little open for Porto tonight. With the way Liverpool have been playing, it’s nearly impossible to see Porto getting through though, even if Liverpool could have put the tie to bed in the first leg. Porto have won all four Champions League games here this season, so it will be a tough nights work for Liverpool – although they should come through it – they have been excellent this season.
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Porto 3.85, Liverpool 2.16 and the draw is 3.55. Liverpool make a lot of appeal at 2.16 – they were much the better side in the first leg and we also seen them thrash Porto in the competition last season too. Porto have a great record at home; however they need to attack here and it’s hard to see how that won’t play into the hands of this Liverpool side. They have the perfect set up to play count attacking football tonight and with Porto having to leave gaps at the back, we like the Liverpool win at 2.16.
