CHAMPIONS LEAGUE WEDNESDAY: We preview Wednesday’s Champions League matches between DINAMO ZAGREB V MANCHESTER CITY and BAYERN MUNICH V TOTTENHAM with recommended BETDAQ bets and extended match stats.
DINAMO ZAGREB V MANCHESTER CITY
5.55pm Manchester City are already assured of top spot in Group C so we can expect a weakened team here. They only drew at home with Shakhtar Donetsk and started around 1.25 in their last fixture – it’s hard to get massively up for a meaningless game in fairness. More worrying for pep Guardiola will be their domestic form, another loss at the weekend at home to Manchester United effectively put their title hopes to bed and they continue to have massive problems at the back.
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Dinamo Zagreb 3.95, Manchester City 1.9 and the draw is 4.4. Dinamo have a huge amount to play for here compared to City. They currently sit in third position one point behind Shakhtar Donetsk who play at home to Atalanta tonight so the pressure is on the home side for a result. As we seen with City v Shakhtar in the last round of fixtures, a team with something to play for is always dangerous against a side who have already achieved their goal. We like the City lay here at 1.9, especially away from home with the gaps that they have been leaving at the back.

BAYERN MUNICH V TOTTENHAM
8pm Spurs would love to forget the last time the sides met! They were royally embarrassed in London when Bayern came to town but a lot has happened since. Jose Mourinho is in town now and although we already know who will finish first and second in this Group, it will be interesting to see what kind of side Jose names and how they play after what happened the last time. We can probably expect a few changes for both sides here given the situation in the Group.
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Bayern Munich 1.46, Tottenham 7.0 and the draw is 5.5. Bayern might be a tempting lay for many punters at 1.46 given Jose is now in charge of Spurs, and also the fact both sides effectively have nothing to play for given Bayern will top the Group and Spurs will come second regardless of what happens. We like goals here though; since Jose has arrived Spurs have been banging in the goals for fun. Bayern always do the same but both sides can leak goals too – over 3.5 goals is trading 2.02 and we feel it should be odds on.
