CHAMPIONS LEAGUE WEDNESDAY: We preview Wednesday’s Champions League games between LYON v JUVENTUS and REAL MADRID v MAN CITY both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
LYON V JUVENTUS
8pm We have another cracking night of Champions League football ahead! All eyes might be on Real Madrid v Manchester City, but let’s not forget what a massive club Juventus are and they will expect to get through this tie. It’s fair to say that Lyon had a pretty soft group with RB Leipzig, Benfica and Zenit Saint Petersburg. RB Leipzig were much the best and there wasn’t much between the other three. Juventus were excellent in a group with Atletico Madrid, topping it by six points.
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Lyon 4.6, Juventus 1.96 and the draw is 3.6. Juventus are very short favourites to qualify and right so. Lyon weren’t in a great group and are only sitting in 7th in the French League. As we have seen with PSG, the French domestic league is way below the other top leagues in Europe and Juventus should easily outclass this Lyon side. Ronaldo and Co have been excellent this season and we can only see that continuing here. This Juve price is too big to ignore and looks like a Multiples banker this week.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Juventus to beat Lyon at 1.96.

REAL MADRID V MANCHESTER CITY
8pm This is what Champions League nights are all about. What a tie. Both sides might be coming out second best in their domestic leagues behind Liverpool and Barcelona but what a fantastic occasion. Pep Guardiola returns to the Bernabeu after so many dramatic nights there with Barcelona against Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid. How dearly he would love to leave with a win here, and with the Premier League title already gone the pressure is really on City to do well in the Champions League.
The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; Real Madrid 2.9, Manchester City 2.5 and the draw is 3.85. It’s hard to see anything but an action packed and drama filled night here. Both sides have been reasonably poor at the back this season. Real will always be an attacking side, but City have been very poor at the back lately and that’s why they’re so far behind Liverpool. On balance we feel that City shouldn’t be so short in the market given how they have played this season. Real are excellent at home and we can’t get away from the City lay at the odds.
BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Manchester City at 2.5.
