CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: We preview Wednesday’s Champions League games between QARABAG FK V CHELSEA, JUVENTUS V BARCELONA, FC BASEL V MANCHESTER UNITED and PSG V CELTIC each with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
QARABAG FK V CHELSEA
5pm Chelsea put six past Qarabag when the sides met in London earlier in Group C, and it’s hard to see anything but a Chelsea win here. The markets agree too, with Chelsea trading as short as 1.35 at the time of writing – although there will be plenty of punters who might be laying Chelsea based on Qarabag’s two draws with Atletico Madrid recently! After the Roma loss though, Chelsea need to win here and Atletico haven’t been playing great recently. Having seen the first game behind these two, we feel that Chelsea will cover the handicap – they’re currently trading 2.04 -1.5 goals which looks a very good bet to start the evening.

JUVENTUS V BARCELONA
7.45pm The highlight of the night, indeed the highlight of the week! It’s a repeat of the Champions League Quarter final from last season as Barcelona travel to Italy to take on Juventus. Barcelona beat Juve in the Camp Nou in the Group already, however last time the sides met here Juve won 3-0. A disappointing 0-0 in the last Champions League matchday for Barcelona leaves the door open for top spot should Juve get the win here, and it promises to be a very exciting match!
We have a very open market, with the match odds at the time of writing; Juventus 3.0, Barcelona 2.6 and the draw is 3.45. We have to say though that Juve don’t appear to be in the same form this season compared to when they beat Barcelona last season, they even lost at home for the first time in over 40 games recently, while they were also beaten at the weekend by Sampdoria. With Barcelona in good form and enough signs that you should take on Juve coming into this one, we’re happy to back Barcelona at 2.6 to get the win.

FC BASEL V MANCHESTER UNITED
7.45pm United haven’t had to get out of second gear to have a 100% record in Group A, and its tempting to back them here to win against at just over evens. They went a goal down at the weekend against Newcastle, but bounced back just before HT to run out easy 4-1 winners. They have players returning from injury which always helps, especially if one of those players in Paul Pogba! Given the way Mourinho approaches these away games, under 2.5 goals is certainly of interest at around the 1.8 mark – it’s hard to see him being very attacking here. Nevertheless, they should outclass this Basel side and the 2.04 on them winning looks great value. It’s worth checking the price of a 1-0 United win in the correct score market closer to kick off.

PSG V CELTIC
7.45pm We had plenty of talking points when these sides met earlier in the Gorup, however ultimately PSG ran out very easy winners. With Celtic now having to travel, it’s difficult to see anything but another easy PSG win. The markets agree, with PSG only trading 1.12 at the time of writing – the shortest price of any team in the Champions League this week! Given the way the first meeting behind the sides played out, we expect plenty of PSG goals here. PSG are trading as big at 2.26 -3 goals in the Asian Handicap market and that looks massive considering it’s void if they win by exactly three, and we can’t look past that for our best bet.
