WEDNESDAY CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: We preview Wednesday’s games between TOTTENHAM v CSKA MOSCOW, FC PORTO v LEICESTER and REAL MADRID v DORTMUND with recommended BETDAQ bets.
Tottenham v CSKA Moscow
7.45pm With Spurs having no chance of qualifying for the next round of the Champions League, their attentions will now turn to qualifying with the Europa League – which they will do here just by avoiding defeat. They should have no problems to do so too, with CSKA without a win this year in the Champions League. One wonders will Spurs take a chance and rest a few of their key players with a busy period coming up in the Premier League, and you wouldn’t quite want to commit to backing them before seeing the teams at around the 1.55 which the currently trade. Despite Spurs scoring five times the weekend, we feel that this could be a low scorer and with under 2.5 goals as big as 2.12 that is the value call for us.

Porto v Leicester
7.45pm It seems barely believable based on their form in the Premier League this season but Leicester have already secured top spot in their Champions League group. It would be no surprise to see Leicester play a weakened side here given that they desperately need some good results in the league during the busy Christmas period. This will play into Porto’s hands as they really need to go for the win here. If Copenhagen win their game, then a draw won’t be enough here for Porto as Copenhagen lead the head-to-head. So there should be a huge difference in the attitudes towards this game, with Leicester viewing it as a dead rubber and Porto needing a win. We have to side with Porto here, especially considering the way Leicester have been suffering in the Premier League, and the 2.0 on Porto/Porto Half-Time/Full-Time appeals.

Real Madrid v Dortmund
7.45pm Real managed to leave the Camp Nou the weekend with a draw and are now unbeaten in their last 33 games across all competitions. They are also unbeaten in their last 24 Champions League group games at home, winning 20 of those – so Dortmund can expect to be in for a tough night! Real also need to win here, as Dortmund currently sit top of the group, so unlike a lot of Champions League games, this one is really important for both sides. Dortmund have been in good form though, and their games have been jam packed with goals lately – they have beaten Bayern in the Bundesliga recently too. However we just cant get away from Real here who feel too big to ignore at 1.85, with the form that they are in and home advantage, they should have too much for a good Dortmund side in what should be a fantastic game.
