FIVE DAQMAN NAPS SCORE IN A WEEK: Daqman made it five naps inside a week yesterday, all odds against; that’s 63 for the year.

WON 100-30 FARHH TO SHY (Thursday nap: BETDAQ 5.6)

WON 5-2 MATTERS MOST (Monday nap)

40 UP AS HE SLAMS PRICEWISE AGAIN: The nap was among three winning Thursday bets, including a 2-0 defeat of Pricewise at 100-30 and 11-2. That takes Daqman to a 40-18 lead over his Racing Post rival.

WON 11-2 CUMULONIMBUS
WON 100-30 FARHH TO SHY (BETDAQ 5.6 nap)

EAGLE CAN SWOOP FOR MOORE

⭕ 2.25 Ascot (Brown Jack handicap) Strong stats. Age: 3yo 5, 4yo 4; Draw 1-4 six out of 9.

But Pledgeofalliance is the only three-year-old out to play this year, a Sir Mark Prescott sequence horse who came unstuck after being raised 15lb for back-to-back wins in class 4 and 5.

Sir Mark blamed the short eight-day gap between races and has given him 20 days to recover this time, up in trip. He’s also changed cheekpieces to visor.

The Prescott sequence horse yesterday – four wins in a row Eagle’s Way – was beaten a head after a superb piece of pace kidology by Frankie Dettori.

In today’s race ‘Pledge’ faces Ryan Moore on the Frankel gelding King Eagle who goes for a hat-trick, stepped up in trip each run by Nicky Henderson.

Nicky likes to plot educational races for his embryonic hurdlers, and his score on Flat turf with them this year is 3-4. So he rarely disappoints the horses or his punters.

Betdaq Betting Exchange 2.54 King Eagle

SNUGGLE UP TO GRENHAM BAY

⭕ 3.00 Ascot Mobashr has no form on soft – not even good to soft – and you have to trust that he will give his running at a price which isn’t value.

I shall concentrate on Snuggle, Global Esteem, Grenham Bay and Spirited Guest.

Last time Snuggle led in similar conditions at Salisbury in May, he was headed a furlong out by Grenham Bay. Snuggle is giving an extra pound away today and could run (helpfully) free again.

Global Esteem, who has won on most surfaces, is 214303 at Ascot and is claimed off and visored first time.

Spirited Guest is 001000000 here, a CD winner but with five of his seven wins to date on AW.

BETDAQ value 8.5 Global Esteem, 9.1 Grenham Bay

HAYLEY ALL SET TO SCINTILLATE

⭕ 4.10 Ascot A three-horse affair was run at no pace, though it was firm at Epsom, when Flash Bardot beat Alhambra Palace and on the last day ‘Flash’ was beaten in another slow time.

So it is that I’m turning to Andrew Balding again (currently 2-3) and Hayley Turner, who was in a slow race at Chester but seized the initiative on the improving Roaring Lion grey, Scintillate, who looks better than this class 4 and is rated as such.

BETDAQ value 6.5 Scintillate

GOSDEN KNOWS FORM FOR YOU

⭕ 7.15 York Sparks Fly is up 41lb since her six-race sequence started in April and, though she had to step up from handicap company, she deserves this crack at this black-type Listed.

But John Gosden farms the race – three wins in eight years – and Queen For You has already made a Listed bid at York, beaten a short-head by the subsequent Coronation Stakes third, who had her measure again at Royal Ascot.

Midnight Mile was fourth in the Musidora here behind subsequent Oaks winner, Soul Sister, also trained by Gosden.

Electric Eyes hasn’t been seen since September, when Rockfel runner-up to yet another filly trained by Gosden.

Sir Michael Stoute has won this twice, both handicap runners at Royal Ascot, but with Long Ago, a dual novice winner, he attempts a bigger leap than Sparks Fly. BETDAQ 4.5 Queen For You.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
