🟣 FOLLOW THE BETDAQ MARKET: Daqman’s latest sequence of eight returns in six days was interrupted when heavy rain knocked out Salisbury yesterday. Ironically, Daqman had warned about Haydock’s poor weather record! With his bets diminished, he chose to work the markets, as advised.

🟣 TWO BITES OF THE CHERRY: Would there be weather-wise gambles at Haydock? How would they affect the BETDAQ market? The first three races had significant punts but the market reacted with reduced overrounds in each case, so those who were on early had a second bite of the value cherry!

🟣 VALUE GETS BETTER ALL DAY: Total percentages on offers logged at 10 am, 2pm and just before each race: (2.10 Hay): 104>100>100. (2.40 Hay): 106>109>102. (3.10 Hay): 104>104>102. Compare SP total percentages: 114, 116, 113.

🟣 100 PER CENT ON YOUR SIDE: Take a first step to better betting today. Remember you make the market and create the offers, and there is 0% COMMISSION FOR 100 DAYS to new customers. So 100% market means what it says: for 100 bet on the card, 100 is paid out.

LAW ACCORDING TO JODY

⭕ 1.50 Ascot (1m handicap) Trainer Ian Williams had Haliphon trained to the minute to take the amateur-jockeys’ handicap easily at Haydock yesterday.

Now the Worcester trainer lines up soft-ground winner Law Supreme for Jody Townend in this race for female amateurs. Forget the horse’s pedigree; check out the jockey’s!

Champion lady amateur four years in a row, Jody is the youngest sister of champion supreme Paul Townend. BETDAQ 6.8 Law Supreme.

ALL’S FAIR IN LOVE WARS

â• 2.00 Haydock (5f handicap) Three-year-old with potential, Love Wars – beaten a head over CD at Haydock in the Spring – is bred to enjoy a bit of cut and is from the Quinn stable which does well with sprinters, like Breege and Mr Wagyu. BETDAQ 17.0.

ANOTHER DAY FOR KNIGHT

â• 3.45 Haydock (1m 6f handicap) Only one winner in the last decade older than four, five of them three-year-olds.

The runner-up to Knight Templar at Ffos Las in early August landed a double afterwards and Tom Marquand has been booked to make this another day for Knight. Betdaq Betting Exchange 4.5.

Frankelian has been consistent but placed four times without scoring at middle distances. Closely related to a two-mile winner, this step up in trip could be the answer. BETDAQ 3.65.

BOARDMAN CHALKS UP 12.0

⭕ 4.20 Haydock (7f handicap) Last year’s 1-2-3 (Street Kid, Persuasion and Canoodled) all have plenty to tell us about this renewal.

I thought Canoodled would wait for today but trainer Ed Walker chose the firm ground at the Ebor meeting to land the DAQMAN column a 25-1 hit!

It leaves Persuasion to keep the Haydock form rolling but, though he has failed to score in nine starts since, his returns since July are 232, so he remains just 3lb lower than last year and doesn’t get any younger.

When Boardman ran second to Burdett over today’s CD earlier in the month, the pair beat Street Kid. A CD winner himself, Boardman is 13lb lower than at this time in 2023 but needs everything to drop right. Can he belie his years? BETDAQ 12.0 reduces the risk.

Mezzo Soprano, who landed a hat-trick last autumn, returns to 7f here as beaten favourite in a sprint the last day.

Yorkshire has won three races when fresh. He started his career on this track, a long-ago third, a length and a half off Charyn, who has rocketed to a 122 rating. BETDAQ 5.8.

Pumalin Park has failed to get a grip in class 4 during the summer yet today is raised a grade for Sir Michael Stoute and Tom Marquand.

Epsom scorer 11 days ago, Tanmawwy put back-to-back wins together a couple of years back but must carry a penalty in attempting the trick again.

BUICK BACK WITH AWAAL

⭕ 4.45 Ascot (1m handicap) Last year’s Lincoln Handicap runner-up on heavy, Awaal was also third in both the Royal Hunt Cup here and in the Bunbury Cup.

Awaal is reunited with William Buick who overcame a bad start to lead his group until the final furlong in the Hunt Cup. BETDAQ 2.84.

Ed Walker has been in top gear this season but rested Hafeet Alain after he won a Newmarket handicap for Saffie Osborne in the Spring. BETDAQ 15.0.

Navagio was Lincoln Handicap third on soft; Theoryofeverything also likes the ground; Inspiritus drops back in trip.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
