DAQMAN MARKS YOUR PARIS CARDS: It’s end-of-season pinstickers’ racing in England but top quality in France, with Saint-Cloud the taster today before Arc weekend at Longchamp. Daqman fact checks the top six races on Gold Cup day there tomorrow and on Sunday for the Arc and Abbaye and the top two-year-old tests.

TOP JOCKEY ON ASHARIBA
⭕ 2.28 Saint-Cloud today (Prix Dahlia) Ralph Beckett having broken the home hold on this prize last year, half this field of four-year-old fillies and mares is from England and Ireland today.
David Menuisier has booked Cristian Demuro, the leading French jockey (195 winners), for Ashariba, winner of top handicaps at Newmarket and Goodwood in the summer.
Menuisier was having a lean time of it this season until these figures have emerged among 15 runners in recent days: 122314123.
He tilts at three big races over the Longchamp weekend: Sunway tomorrow in the Cadran and, on Sunday, Tamfana in the Opera and Devil’s Point in the Foret.
Ashariba should tell us more about his chances. She had Warda Jamila (Christophe Soumillon for Andrew Balding today) behind in 7th at Newmarket a year ago.
Team Gosden has a royal runner in Rainbows Edge, lightly raced, second and third at Listed level, including on the soft.
Group-3 winner at Naas last Spring, Jessica Harrington’s Sea The Boss hasn’t done a lot since to inspire a punt and soft ground is a concern.
Home hope Saxon Girl had a run of six Listeds in a place, doing best under today’s rider, Aurelien Lemaitre.
RUSSET FOR AUTUMN GOLD
⭕ 3.30 Ascot Staying with Team Gosden, Military Cross, beaten a head by stablemate Port Of London at Kempton, takes on Race To The Stars, who beat Port Of London at Southwell but has to give weight to Military Cross, who is now the stable number one.
⭕ 4.40 Ascot Looking for horses on the brink of form who like soft ground, I’ve turned up Russet Gold and Bob Mali.
Charles Hills runs the exposed Trefor but Bob Mali, who has had a quiet season, is 1112 on the soft up to class-2 level and returned to form, runner-up at Doncaster, the last day.
Russet Gold is down 12lb since being placed in Saturday’s Group-3 Bengough Stakes (soft) a year ago. Not disgraced in the Dash at the Curragh and better off with the winner, Brosay, here at Ascot last month.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
