NAP UP AT SAME BIG BETDAQ VALUE: More of the same from Daqman! He landed his nap at Market Rasen yesterday by nearly 10 lengths to make it 102 best bets up this year and a profit on the day through his staking plan. The Same (WON 7-4) and Giovanni Change (2nd 7-1) were taken at 3.6 and 11.5 respectively, revealing the same big morning offers on the BETDAQ exchange.
ASCOT TWO-DAY MEETING: Today and tomorrow the scene switches to Ascot, where Daqman’s bets include an 8.4 offer and a 20-point supernap.
LET BETDAQ BE YOUR GUIDE..
⭕ 12.15 Ascot Eight out of 10 winners of this novice hurdle started 5-1 or less; so ‘keep your Daq up,’ and watch the market.
It’s particularly important if they come for something other than a likely lad trained by Paul Nicholls or Nicky Henderson.
For instance, Harry Fry has Beat the Bat, winner and second twice in big fields of 14 and more, bumpers and an introductory hurdle at the end of October.
Champagne Twist (Ben Pauling) and Montys Soldier (Christian Williams) are 3m Point winners in Ireland, always a good sign.
But so, too, Welcome To Cartries for Nicholls and, for Henderson, Ideal Des Bordes who also finished third in a bumper at Warwick
Last year’s winner, Crambo (Fergal O’Brien) went on to three more successes, including a Graded event, and is a big fancy for a stayers’ hurdle at Haydock tomorrow.
HE COULD BE A GIFT TO CHASING
⭕ 12.50 Ascot Again, the market knew in the two previous runnings of this race; winners were 7-4 and 6-4 SP and, again, Paul Nicholls (one second) and Nicky Henderson (one ran out) were not the easy answer punters at first expected.
In today’s race, Nicky’s grey, The Carpenter, was looking for more hurdling options after his hat-trick in the Spring but, since he is already seven, he is going straight to fences this season.
His rating gets him 8lb from Samarrive (Nicholls) who jumped fences twice unsuccessfully last autumn, went back to hurdles then had a long break. There’s no mention of him in the Ditcheat stable tours I’ve read.
Monviel won the handicap hurdle on this card (2.35) last season but has since moved from Philip Hobbs to Harry Derham.
I shall have my pound on Supreme Gift at Betdaq Betting Exchange 8.6: a Getaway gelding out of an Oscar mare, he’s been useful over hurdles but was always going to be a chaser, and gets weight all round here.
The Irish Point winner, who took three hurdles in a row, still standing, at the turn of the year, was going well on his fencing debut at Ludlow (race won by a Grade-3 chaser) when a wayward leader almost took him out altogether.
NICHOLLS RATES ‘WATERSIDE’
⭕ 1.25 Ascot Nicky Henderson has won this three times in the decade with young horses but – as with The Carpenter – brings back a seven-year-old, one of his that’s run three times in three years, and you don’t know what they can do.
After serious injury, Doddiethegreat is working well again and made the Henderson stable tour.
But Inthewaterside, also unbeaten after three starts, and with no injury or other hiccups, gets a near-rave review from Paul Nicholls in his list.
Gary Moore runs the other two in the race and it’s a fair bet that Cloud Dancer or Junkanoo, or both, will crack on and put some pace into a small field.
VENETIA ON FIRE WITH DANCER
⭕ 2.00 Ascot A class-2 chase won three times in eight years by Venetia Williams, who has been knocking them in at an incredible 40% or so recently.
She’s snuck Fire Dancer in here with bottomweight. Ex-Guillaume-Macaire , the son of Martaline is half-brother to Al Dancer, who won the Grand Sefton a year ago.
Fire Dancer won first time of asking, then led until stopping quickly behind none other than the Stage Star of the moment at Cheltenham.
That was a visual message about his breathing problems and, after a wind op, he’s been laid out for today’s feature. Though ex-French, he prefers the good to soft forecast for Ascot today: BETDAQ value:4.4.
Another laid out for the race is Your Darling, who won it for Ben Pauling and Kielan Woods last year off a lower mark, with Flegmatik third (wind ops since) and now 5lb better off for four lengths.
Neon Moon is still qualified for novice chases, and won one at Ludlow in October. Ran a cracker over 3m on today’s course, when second in a class-1 handicap.
Mackenberg won five in a row still standing up to this time last year, and returned to form, beaten a short-head at Wetherby first run back in October.
Fidelio Vallis has struggled with his high weight since four successive strikes in the Spring of 2021 and today is the farthest he’s been asked to go.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
