Gordon Elliottt hit form yesterday and Highland Crystal was last-time-out conqueror of Tuesday’s Fred Winter winner, Saratoga.
The Fred Winter runner-up, Winston Junior, was slammed six lengths by Minella Study in the Triumph Trial in December.

⭕ 2.00 Cheltenham (County Hurdle) Wilful made all in a handicap at Ascot in December for the Jonjo O’Neill stable which plotted an Ultima strike this week with Johnnywho.
The grey Joyeuse looks laid out for this. Well behind Wilful at Ascot but lost her position.
Weakened at the last when attempting the Grade-1 Mares Hurdle (2m 4f) won by Lossiemouth here last March.

⭕ 2.40 Cheltenham (Mares’ Chase) LAYS LOGIC Willie Mullins’ record is three winners but four beaten favourites four years running at 2-1, 6-5, 13-8 and 15-8.
The only winning Mullins favourite was Dinoblue who is five from six as she tries for a repeat from the front of the market again this afternoon at aged nine.
Paul Townend prefers the five-wins-in-a-row stable companion Spindleberrys, who came unstuck only when stepped up to 3m and the Grade-1 company of the Irish Gold Cup.
My Hot Spot for this was Panic Attack, who followed up her CD win in November with a Newbury double, including the Autumn Gold Cup over 3m 2f but she is 10 now.
Best outsider is Only For Night, Arkle runner-up to Jango Baie last March and stepped up to the distance suggested as her optimum in the pedigree.

⭕ 4.00 Cheltenham (Gold Cup) Inothewayurthinkin ended Galopin des Champs hat-trick bid last year and he’s 2-2 at Cheltenham after winning the Kim Muir in 2024.
But he’s disappointed on every other course and in every other race, and fell after a poor round of jumping in the Irish Gold Cup in February.
Runner-up that day, in front of Galopin Des Champs, was Gaelic Warrior, the Arkle winner of 2024 who beat Grey Dawning at Aintree but was third in a nose-to-nose for the King George, won by The Jukebox Man.
Jango Baie (pictured below) was half-length behind in fourth and has worked well at Seven Barrows, which has produced three Festival winners this week and placed Jonbon in the first two for 22 consecutive races.

Air Of Entitlement, easy winner of the Mares Novices at this meeting last March but related to an Irish Grand National winner, has been laid out for this longer race.
Karl Des Tourelles is a tough nut, switching back to hurdles from chasing. Disputed the lead on the final turn in the Pertemps Final (3m) here last March and today’s trip will suit better.
