DAQMAN FREE BETS LAND SEVEN-LENGTHS BETDAQ-VALUE NAP: Daqman finished in front on the day and BETDAQ value was the highlight again. It was day two at Doncaster and it was all free of charge. The nap, Free Wind (WON 15-8 from BETDAQ 3.4), went like the wind, streaking seven lengths clear, booking her place in the Fillies and Mares at the British Champions meeting. Standings update:

FIRM GROUND RULES TRUESHAN OUT OF THE DONCASTER CUP: Trueshan beat Stradivarius on the soft in October but withdrew from the Ascot Gold Cup and Yorkshire Cup because of firm ground. He misses the action again today with the going ‘good to firm, good in places,’ though showers were forecast and all bar one race was run slower than average yesterday.

HOO YA! HE’S A HARROW BOY HERE
⭕ 1.40 Doncaster All bar two of these two-year-olds are winners already, yet the official top rating, Eldrickjones, is one of the two maidens, second in the Coventry but no nearer than fifth in three successive Group races since.
Acomb fourth Noble Truth has shown temperament despite a hood, and Find finished in front of him on the July Course. Razzle Dazzle has to climb into this Listed from a much lower level.
I’ll settle for Hoo Ya Mal, another one hooded but who looked good when winning the quality Convivial Maiden Stakes at York from Dawn of Liberation, previously third at Newbury to 114-rated Reach For The Moon.
Splitting them that day at Newbury was Harrow, who won the £200,000 Sales sprint yesterday, which makes Hoo Ya Mal something of a proverbial good thing here, if the form works out.
BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE 3.75 Hoo Ya Mal
ARMOR COULD GET BACK ON TRACK
⭕ 2.10 Doncaster (Flying Childers Stakes) They’ve punted Richard Hannon’s Armor all the week for a yard which won this in 2014 and again in 2015 with a heavily backed favourite.
Only fifth to Chipotle in the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot but the form was stood on its head when Armor won the Molecomb at Goodwood.
Blaming the soft ground doesn’t answer all the question-marks over Chipotle that day (ducked at the start; sixth). He’s a CD winner here at Donny and it’s a good move to take him back there after overfacing him in the Nunthorpe (seventh in first-time cheekpieces).
Meanwhile, after the Molecomb, Armor also went for a Group 1, and – though favourite and back on the soft – was outpointed a good couple of lengths by Richard Fahey’s Perfect Power in the Prix Morny.
York one-two three weeks back, Attagirl and Caturra, meet again, with Caturra better off at the weights, and likely threat to the favourite, though the course will obviously suit Armor.
BETDAQ taken 2.62 Armor
STRADIVARIUS IS HANDED THE CUP
⭕ 2.40 Doncaster Cup Trueshan’s first Group 1, the Goodwood Cup, had cost him! His penalty meant he would have to give 2lb to the old master, Stradivarius, even though officially rated 3lb behind him! But firm ground beat him again before he even lined up.
Three-year-olds have won it twice in the decade and Sir Mark Prescott’s grey filly Alerta Roja takes a crack at her elders.
A wise owl of Sir Mark’s ilk, David Elsworth, landed a gamble in this with a three-year-old filly in 2017 in the absence of Stradivarius. But, before and after that race, she was beaten a total of SEVEN times by Stradivarius. My order in today:
1: STRADIVARIUS was seen off by Trueshan in the British Champions Long Distance Cup in October but that was after his Arc de Triomphe bid.
Longchamp was a good idea at the time but the plan this term is to get his revenge at Ascot next month, with every chance that, had Trueshan run today, it would have been salt in a wound already inflicted!
2: ALERTA ROJA Kirsten Rausing’s grey Golden Horn filly looks thrown in with 8st 4lb today. She isn’t! But she’s getting there under the tutelage of maestro Mark Prescott.
Hat-trick completed in class-4 handicap at Ascot (2m) but bettered that, though second, with game attempt to win a Listed at the Hopppegarten in a long tussle with the useful Memphis. She’s now up 32lb since late June.
3: RODRIGO DIAZ Has climbed 22lb this year but won only at 1m 4f and was no match for Hukum in his first attempt at a Group 3. Likely more to come at his age but unlikely to be enough to catch Stradivarius today.
EAGLES BY DAY Has never won beyond 1m 6f, and was fifth in today’s race last year. Out of form this season, though dropped back to his winning trip. First-time tongue-tie this afternoon.
NAYEF ROAD Has won just the once at 2m (Group 3 Sagaro Stakes when others were not fully fit)) and failed in three attempts over further, including 10 lengths off Stradivarius in the 2020 Gold Cup.
THE GRAND VIZIR Won the 2019 Ascot Stakes but 14 consecutive defeats since, including seven lengths -despite first-time visor – by Stradivarius the last day in the Lonsdale Cup at York.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
