REACH FOR THE SKY ON APLOMB
⭕ 2.50 Haydock I was on Sky Blue Pink the last day when second of 14, beaten half a length at 18-1.
She has been saved for a late-season rally so she must run here, with track and ground in her favour (she broke her turf maiden on soft at Haydock).
Sterling Knight put two wins together in the Spring and could now back up his Haydock strike in this grade just three weeks back; however, soft/heavy ground is an unknown.
Punchbowl Flyer has ideal ground and is down in the weights but his CD success was back in May, 2021.
The recent application of blinkers then a visor and back to blinkers again suggests a degree of desperation; he’s been finishing last of seven, last of 14 and 21st of 22.
Air Raid, who won this on heavy ground in 2020 and was third last year, wears a tongue-tie to help his breathing at the finish this afternoon, after being tailed off on Saturday.
Useful two years or so back, Aplomb has recently disappointed those betting on a revival. Back to his last winning mark here and with soft ground no problem. Last-chance saloon.
Betdaq Betting Exchange 6.2 Sky Blue Pink, 11.5 Aplomb
HAGGAS LOOKS HOT AT HAYDOCK
⭕ 4.00 and 5.08 Haydock Five winners out of seven in the last three days, William Haggas sends two to Haydock where he has a 25% strike rate.
The Frankel colt Al Mubhir (4.00) goes down in grade for only his fifth ever race and drops back to a mile. BETDAQ 5.3 this morning.
Class 4 and 5 winner Alazwar has tried to make the leap in class now twice without success.
Back to the Haggas duo and Qoya (5.08) is developing well, loves soft ground, and bids to open her horizons by stepping up to 2m here. BETDAQ 3.95
COLES CHIEF NEWCASTLE CHANCE
⭕ 4.45 Newcastle (Duke Of Northumberland Handicap) Paul and Oliver Cole are currently scoring at a rate of 43% with 3-7 in eight days and Newcastle has been a lucrative venue for them over the years with nearly 40% (5-13).
The stats for the race demand a low-drawn horse aged three or four from a southern stable, and the Coles’ Tartan Chief fits the bill out of the one stall.
Tartan Chief, who landed a double towards last backend, has been missing strike, five times in a row second or third, all on turf, but mainly at big meetings like Epsom and Newbury. This change of surface and lesser venue might help.
BETDAQ value 4.8 Tartan Chief

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
