DAQMAN LANDS HIS SUPERNAP: Daqman staked his supernap to pay for the rest of the evening at Sandown Park yesterday but it was still hard to take when Caius Chorister went down a head at 15-8.

WON 1-2 ROYAL RHYME (supernap)

CHECK FOR NON-RUNNERS: Today’s racing is at the mercy of the weather and selections are made against a backdrop of non-runners and changing ground.

SIX CLASSICS IN NINE DAYS

DON’T miss Daqman’s previews of six Classics in the next nine days, with form, ratings, information and BETDAQ value bets. Starting tomorrow:

⭕ 3.40 Curragh, Saturday (Irish 2,000 Guineas) Rosallion is odds on.
⭕ 3.00 Dusseldorf, Sunday (German 1,000 Guineas) Hugo Palmer (2)
⭕ 3.45 Curragh, Sunday (Irish 1,000 Guineas) It’s 14-1 about Azada.
⭕ 4.30 Epsom, Friday (Oaks) Moore on Ylang Ylang or Rubies Are Red?
⭕ 4.30 Epsom, Saturday (Derby) ‘Economics non-runner’ says Haggas
⭕ 4.05 Chantilly, Sunday (Prix du Jockey Club) French Derby.

BUICK LOOKS BEST ON HAVAILA

⭕ 2.25 Goodwood (2m) Manxman won five out of six in class 5 and 6 last year, climbing 33lb up the rankings, and ran well here at Goodwood at the beginning of May, beaten a head on heavy to reach an 80 rating.

The Crisfords are hoping to book his table at the Northumberland Plate at the end of June with this intended to raise his rating but the lowest winning mark in the Newcastle race in recent years is 89.

Gary Moore has won two of the last four renewals of this Goodwood race, and he’s booked William Buick for Havaila, who ran up to Punctuation at Goodwood on the soft at the beginning of May, with Maxident third, Plus Point fourth.

Temporize (gv 6lb) beat Robert Johnson over 2m 4f (soft) last August and the return match here should be a close-run thing at today’s weights.

He earlier ran second in the Brown Jack (2m) at Ascot, leaving Pledgeofallegiance in his wake.

The 2022 Cesarewitch runner-up, Vino Victrix (now 8lb lower), came back to form on AW in December. Oisin Murphy has been booked by Hughie Morrison, who won the Goodwood Cup with Quickthorn last August.

Betdaq Betting Exchange 5.5 win and place HAVAILA at 5.5 this morning

STORM DANGER TO FAVOURITE

⭕ 4.20 Haydock (Cecil Frail Stakes) It’s 5-5 between three and four year olds, which is Lays Logic against the favourite, the five-year-old Azure Blue.

But Azure Blue is with the Michael Dods yard, which has landed 10 winners in the last fortnight (43%) and ‘Blue’ is its only Friday runner.

Azure Blue is 19lb clear of the best of the four-year-olds, Electric Storm, who was runner-up at Bath to the subsequent Commonwealth Cup Trial second.

That was 5f and both Electric Storm and Sophia’s Starlight prefer six; she was running-on fourth at Bath that day, and now has in-form Silvestre De Sousa to do the steering.

Got To Love A Grey has won 2-2 Listed races, one on firm and one on heavy! But the grey pulls hard and has been kept mainly to 5f or thereabouts. She weakened out of it in that Commonwealth Cup Trial.

Another filly, Midream, has been learning at a lower level but is half-sister to Vadream, who won last year’s Palace House Stakes.

Not running here but perhaps holds the form key, as third, nearly two lengths behind Electric Storm in that race of talent at Bath.

BETDAQ value While Azure Blue was easing towards even money this morning, despite the race cutting up, ELECTRIC STORM was in to 6.4 and still big.

HE’S THE EMERALD EMPEROR

⭕ 7.20 Curragh (Emerald Mile Handicap) Last year at this time, Blue Emperor gave 5lb and a beating to Navagio over a mile at Naas.

That Naas win was on good ground and in the next four months he had form figures of 112 on a sound surface, though climbing 12lb up the ratings ladder.

Blues Emperor is 8lb better off with Dunum, who beat him on the soft at Limerick last April before the Naas race.

If further proof of his ground requirements were needed, Blues Emperor was 17th of 20 (Navagio 3rd) in the Lincoln Handicap at Doncaster in March on the soft.

There were also excuses that day for Fozzy Stack’s Chazzesmee (5th), who finished lame on his left-hind.
BETDAQ value 7.6 Chazzesmee, 9.9 Blues Emperor

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
