DAQMAN LANDS HAT-TRICK OF NAPS: ‘Etalon has a big future’. That’s one verdict in the Press today but it was Daqman’s headline forecast BEFORE the horse cantered up by nine lengths at Sandown yesterday and completed our man’s hat-trick of naps. They helped him to a total of 29 points from profits every day for five winning days in a row.

📈 40% naps up this year (18-45); overall profit 5.30

TODAY: 13.0 BETDAQ OUTSIDER: Daqman spots a 13.0 bet at Fakenham which has never run badly when fresh. His nap has won twice at the high level of the race.

GRAND NATIONAL PREP RUNS

⭕ 3.15 Haydock tomorrow THE Grand National Trial clash of the two bridges is on, weather permitting at Haydock (going heavy) tomorrow, with first preference on the Lancashire track for Iron Bridge, Ascot (3.00) the alternative if Haydock (3.15) is off.

Iron Bridge is trained by Jonjo O’Neill, Famous Bridge in the same race by Nicky Richards. They run in the same colours but will wear different caps.

Le Milos, the 2022 Newbury Gold Cup winner, 10th in the Grand National last April, will run for Dan Skelton in a handicap hurdle at Ascot (2.25).

Diol Ker, Dunboyne and Enjoy d’Allen have been declared for the National Trial at Punchestown on Sunday.

13.0 OFFER GOES WELL FRESH

⭕ 3.10 Fakenham today The 13.0 BETDAQ offer Conceroe is 131 at Fakenham, winning over the CD on the last day. Snag is his last day on a racetrack was November 2022.

But Ben Case has won this race before (2016) and Conceroe has never been out of a place when fresh from any break.

Of recent winners Imac Wood and Tupelo Mississippi, Imac Wood is the likely improver, aged only six.

Brian Ellison has booked Harry Cobden for Tupelo Mississippi but his overall chase form puts you off (1-11), and that came when he was not expected, easy to back at 11-1 SP.

Imac Wood joined Deborah Cole from France and you would expect soft-heavy to suit but all his winning form in England is on good ground.

Invincible Nao is also ex-French but, since joining Gary Moore, his hurdles form has slipped (127>109 rating) and his chase mark is down, too.

Blinkers replace cheekpieces on Pearly Island but they need to improve him half a stone to get into this.

El Muchacho is giving weight all round; hood and tongue-tie haven’t helped much; let’s see if a wind op does.

GO JUMP IN ON THE LAKE!

⭕ 3.25 Kelso Class-2 quality, and Richmond Lake has already won twice at that level. He’s not paid too dearly for it and the ground was against him the last day.

It was his first venture down south and into a Graded race, which has always been beyond Empire Steel (0-5), who is an old hand at the Kelso fences.

Twice a CD winner at this time of year, including this race in 2022 by 16 lengths and last year he overturned odds-on Le Milos over further in a Listed on this course.

Nell’s Son, a Grade-2 winning hurdler at Kelso, has won only a novice at Carlisle in five chase starts and has slipped a few pounds down the ratings.

A dual novice winner at Kelso, Ned Tanner finished about 20lb inferior to Richmond Lake when they were one-two at Haydock last March.

Whoshotthesheriff has dropped a stone down the ratings over the last year. Blotted his fine record after long breaks (211F12) when pulling up at Wetherby three weeks back; he may also need this race to become competitive again.

Betdaq Betting Exchange 4.5 Richmond Lake

REGULAR WINNERS BY LAW

⭕ 6.45 Wolverhampton Civil Law has put two wins together every season three times in a row: May-June 2021 (form figures 11); January-March 2022 (121); November-December 2022 (11), all here at Wolverhampton.

He needs to win today or miss the boat for 2023-24; he scored at Wolverhampton in November but was second in December (12 figures) so today’s his last chance to keep his sequence going. BETDAQ 4.7.

I think he has a better chance than Al Rufaa, punished 7lb for winning here over shorter in November, with today a step up in trip for him at age seven. But what about the youngsters.

Front-runner Wadacre Gomez failed to get home here the last day and Forca Timao is four times a loser on AW.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
