7-2 NAP AND FESTIVAL ‘OVERS’ ABOUT MOHICAN: Daqman’s nap, First Mohican, staked his claim for the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle with success at Doncaster yesterday and has been cut from the 20.0 our man took for Cheltenham yesterday.

BEST BETS TWO OUT OF THREE AFTER 11-4 HIT: This was Daqman’s second winning nap in three days after Panama Petrus (WON 11-4) on Tuesday. Wednesday’s best bet was beaten a neck when the line came too soon.

BETDAQ’S £58,000 SEVEN-RACE CARD: Betdaq rescues afternoon racing today with a Kempton jumps card of seven hurdles and chases with guaranteed prizemoney of £57,800, including a £20,000 feature and two £10,000 handicaps.

Punters are the winners, even before Kempton kicks off today. As the raceheads advertise, it’s a no-lose, free-bets day for some Betdaq backers and layers in an entire meeting staged with better betting in mind. It’s the people’s exchange!

Sixty-two horses were declared, despite the heavy ground, and the card has been supported by top trainers like Nicky Henderson, Alan King, Jonjo O’Neill, David Pipe, Colin Tizzard, Venetia Williams.

Tom Scudamore, Richard Johnson, ‘Choc’ Thornton, Adrian Coleman and Tony McCoy lead the all-star jockey line-up, but are the results going to pan out for them or are there dark horses hidden among the 62?

The BETDAQ market says there’s value everywhere, with the very first race totting up to only 105%, though it is 8 a.m., as I write. Last year’s Total SP on the race was 117%. And that’s the trend right through the meeting.

1.30 Kempton Park (Betdaq The Sports Betting Exchange Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle) Nico De Bonville and Joshua Moore 16, Kieron Edgar 10 and Harry Derham 9 are the leaders here among the conditionals this season.

Kieron Edgar is the boy in form, bidding for a hat-trick after two out of two in the last five days at Southwell and Carlisle, and his mount, Baltimore Rock, fits the stats, which suggest that horses over the age of seven can’t win.

But will Baltimore rock off top weight in the heavy ground? Santo Thomas keeps finding one too good and the dark horse may be Dr Richard Newland’s Dalmo, but in fact the handicap has only a 3lb spread between Baltimore Rock and Drussell.

Baltimore Rock and Dalmo, both aged only five years old, have scope for improvement, along with Dark And Dangerous, who – like Dalmo – has dropped down the handicap.

2.00 Kempton Park (Betdaq £25 No Lose Mobile Bet Novices’ Hurdle) Venetia Williams has had two novice hurdlers and two novice chasers win in February and less than a week has gone by.

Call Carlo, big at 10.5 this morning in a 107% list of offers in the orange, won first time last season and is bred for this step up in trip.

The bumper win of Hot Whiskey N Ice has been boosted by wins for second and third. The grey Albert Bridge (Richard Johnson is 50% for Emma Lavelle) would win this on Flat form and Strollawaynow has already won an all-aged hurdle.

2.30 Kempton Park (Betdaq £500 In Free Bets Handicap Chase) Nozic won this off 11lb higher last season but hasn’t been in the same form leading up to this repeat bid. Watch the market (he was 8.0 this morning), though he is 13 years old now.

In fact, this is something of a veterans’ race, with the exception of Ultragold, who could make them all go for this drop in distance. Lucky Sunny is error prone. Notarfbad has to give weight all round and is out very quickly after Wincanton. Paddy The Stout has it to prove, even if he is off a light weight mark.

3.05 Kempton Park (Betdaq No Premium Charge Novices’ Handicap Hurdle) Winners have carried 11st 2lb to 11st 9lb., but the top weight here, Smiles For Miles, is unexposed at the trip and well bred for it: 9.6 on BETDAQ as I write. That’s big for Tom Scudamore’s only mount.

Five stables in this race are either on the cold list generally or never seem to get a winner at Kempton, which makes Easy Beesy (8.2 offers) stand out among the dross, as winner of an open handicap over further dropped back to novice company today.

3.35 Kempton Park (Betdaq £25 No Lose Mobile Bet Graduation Chase) A disappointing turn-out but it sees the return of a Grade-2 hurdles winner, Batonnier, on his chasing debut giving weight (mares allowance) to a Grade-2 chase winner already in Une Artiste.

No wonder Une Artiste is odds on this morning but, with the orange adding up to only 103%, it means that Batonnier is huge at 5.6 for an early-mouse position with all the assets of BETDAQWbetting available to trade later on.

4.10 Kempton Park (Betdaq 3% Commission Handicap Chase) Delete Midnight Appeal’s failed attempts at Cheltenham and over the Grand National fences, and take away his hurdles form, and you have 111123211 over fences up to class-2 level. I could get 8.0 this morning in a 105% list of offers.

Ex-French Triangular is still something of an unknown quantity but ran well on his reappearance a month back and is down in the handicap. Court Victory came back about the same time and is another unexposed.

Summery Justice has won only once since 2010 but gets no respite from the handicapper, so Chartreux, down in the weights, looks the main danger.

Another who failed to cope with Cheltenham and with the Grand National fences, and found the Welsh National a trip too far, Chartreux is otherwise 12122 over fences, if also excusing him his moderate run back this season at Listowel. Around 9.0 this morning.

4.40 Kempton Park (Betdaq Value You Can Bet On Maiden Open National Hunt Flat Race) Philip Hobbs (Brean Play Percy) has trained two winners in the last five renewals but Tony McCoy is here for the one ride on Less Time and Third Act already has some bumper form in the book.

I’ll play Percy at 7.2, with a saver on Less Time. There’s no time like the present – and that applies all day – when you’re betting on BETDAQ.
