HALLELUJAH! DARING 7-1 NAP MAKES IT SEVEN OUT OF NINE: Daqman, who completed six naps in a row on Thursday, came back with the best price of all his best-bets sequence yesterday, Hallelujah (WON 7-1 from 9.6 on BETDAQ). Exchanged at 250.0 in running when shuffled back, but came again with a storming late run.

229 POINTS FROM NINE WINS IN ONE DAY INCLUDING 82-1 TREBLE: Daqman landed NINE winning bets on the day, including three doubles and a treble in his Daq Multiples, no losers. Here’s the day as it happened:

WON 7-2 REMEMBER (3 bets)
WON 7-1 HALLELUJAH (nap), 3rd 7-2 Mince (2 bets)
2nd 14-1 FRAGONARD (3 bets)
WON 8-1 EAGLE ROCK, 2nd 7-1 Flashman (2 bets)
WON 7-1 MONTEFELTRO (1 bet)

ST LEGER WEEK IS A WINNER ALREADY: Daqman is already in front with two plays on the St Leger. His column has lost 1.3 points on a non-runner, Brass Ring, but has massive ‘overs’ on Feel Like Dancing, tipped at 45.0 on BETDAQ to win 40 points and quoted between 12-1 and 16-1 by bookmakers this morning. Daqman’s ABC Guide today launches his Leger week.

qipcoST LEGER ABC GUIDE: There are three key stats which could help you find the St Leger winner: you need a horse which is lightly raced (A) and which has figured in either the Gordon Stakes at Goodwood or the Great Voltigeur at York (B). Three trainers (C) have dominated results since 1995.

A: Has run in only five to seven races so far (five had 7, four had 5)
B: Won or placed Gordon Stakes, Goodwood (5) or Great Voltigeur at York (3)
C: Winner trained Saeed Bin Suroor (5), John Gosden (4), Aidan O’Brien (2).

ABC Excess Knowledge Five races, with a stinker in the middle of them, not holding his form as a juvenile after running second in the Washington Singer Stakes.

So, after two runs in July, the second a narrow defeat in the Gordon Stakes, he was put away for an autumn campaign. Son of the mighty German sire Monsun – having a great year with Novellist – but nothing of note on the dam’s side.

ABC Secret Number With his stable flying at the weekend, Secret Number fronts the ABC Guide as seven-times-raced third in the Great Voltigeur at York, reversing the form with the Gordon Stakes winner and third, Cap O’Rushes and Spillway.

A Raven’s Pass, he’s half-brother to top miler Dubai Destination but related on the dam’s side to a champion sprinter. Not bred for stamina then, but clearly has to take his chance at Doncaster on form.

AC Feel Like Dancing One-time Derby hopeful but, like many of John Gosden’s this year, started the season late. Ran up to Leading Light in the Queen’s Vase (2m) at Royal Ascot, despite the firm ground.

Had Havana Beat in third when winning a Group 3 at Newmarket, a line through the fourth horse, Testudo, suggesting he would have gone close in the Gordon Stakes.

AC Leading Light Winner of the Gallinule from subsequent Irish Derby sixth, Little White Cloud, before beating Feel Like Dancing in the Group-3 Queens Vase, which last year fell to Gold Cup winner, Estimate.

By Montjeu (Hurricane Run, Fame And Glory, Camelot) but out of a miler mare, he’s leapt 25lb in the ratings from just three starts this season. ‘We thought he’d get 1m 4f but now we know he stays. We couldn’t tell much from his homework; he’s so laid back and lazy,’ said a Ballydoyle spokesman after Royal Ascot.

A Dabadiyan Another rapid improver from Ireland, officially up 27lb since mid-June and a dark horse here as one who only does enough in his races.

Sire Zamindar got super-stars Zarkava (Arc de Triomphe) and Darjina (French 1,000 Guineas and Queen Anne), and there’s bags of stamina on the dam’s side.

A Havana Beat Unlucky third in a blanket finish behind Feel Like Dancing in a Group 3 on the July Course but stone last in the Gordon Stakes, not relishing either Goodwood or the cut in the ground, or both.

A Libertarian One-time Leger favourite after beating Trading Leather in the Dante and staying on late for second in the Epsom Derby but that Derby form has taken knocks a plenty.

And he was duly turned over in the Irish version by his old rival, Trading Leather, well behind Cap O’Rushes, possibly disliking the firm ground. Has since moved to Charlie Appleby.

A Renew By Dansili, sire of The Fugue, with his dam well related to several Oaks-placed fillies. Not relish the slow ground when third in a Haydock handicap but has a mountain to climb on Saturday.

A Talent Looked top of the milk when taking the Epsom Oaks but, like the Derby at the same meeting, the form has collapsed since, and she was stone last in the Irish version. There are those who will give Talent and Libertarian second chances but are you willing to be among them?

A Willie The Wipper Beaten six lengths in the French Derby and nine lengths in the Great Voltigeur. Sire got an Abbaye sprint winner but dam scored over the Leger trip. Looks a ‘nearly horse.’

BC Foundry Great Voltigeur runner-up, finishing powerfully. That was his first run of the season, and only the second of his career, which you can take as a positive.

Or you can say his inexperience – and the possible bounce factor? – are negatives against this son of a miler mare. But he’s by Galileo and seems sure to hit a big target at some time in the future.

B Cap O’Rushes An in-and-out performer, well exposed after nine races. At his best he’s the Gordon Stakes winner, who beat Excess Knowledge. At his worst, the Great Voltigeur disappointment, sixth of seven. The difference, the ground: he must have cut.

C Eye Of The Storm Another Ballydoyle. Another Galileo. Another, in theory, with not enough experience – three runs – and worryingly absent since runner-up in the Sandown Classic Trial.

C Plinth His form doesn’t hold up (well, you need a sense of humour in this game). Clearly a pacemaker for the Ballydoyle contingent.

Dashing Star, Great Hall, London Bridge, Ralston Road
