Leopardstown (Wednesday) two Group-3 2yo tests: Silver Flash and Tyros Stakes.

Ascot (Friday) Brown Jack Stakes 2m; (Saturday) International Handicap and King George V1 and Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

TRAINERS TO FOLLOW: Expect David Menuisier to strike from among 19 runners this week. David is ‘very happy with the form of his two-year-olds’ and the break in the weather will see better form from his older horses.

Donald McCain has made a slow start to the Jumps season but Cartmel, Worcester and Uttoxeter are happy hunting grounds for the Cheshire stable, currently running into a seam of form (11203322).

ONE YEAR ON: Goliath swooped on racing royalty with an effortless 25-1 King George victory in fast time. Dual Derby winner, Auguste Rodin, was only fifth.

Goliath’s victory raised the old controversy that it’s a shame geldings cannot run in the Arc de Triomphe. It would be hammered home when the King George second to Goliath, Bluestocking, went on to win the Arc.

* LOOK OUT this week for Daqman’s King George preview.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
