8-1 STRIKE IN DAQMAN CURRAGH DOUBLE: Daqman should have won every race he bet in yesterday but his nap was trapped at the back of the field and didn’t get going until too late (Encourgeable 2nd 6-4, beaten a length at Redcar). He forecast an O’Brien-Moore double and sure enough landed both Group-2 winners at The Curragh:
WON 8-1 LILY POND (taken at 10.5 on BETDAQ)
WON 4-5 ORDER OF AUSTRALIA
24 WINNING BETS LANDED IN 17 DAYS: The Sunday double has given Daqman 24 winners in July so far. The heatwave means just two northern meetings in the UK today and one at Musselburgh tomorrow. Not ideal for maintaining the sequence but we’ll keep going if we can.
⭕ Tomorrow: King George countdown begins.

IRIS TO BLOSSOM OVER SEVEN
⭕ 4.45 Ayr It will be hot enough ay Ayr and Cartmel for their afternoon meetings today – just not the extreme temperatures experienced elsewhere but if we hang on until Wednesday normal service will be resumed – plenty of rain forecast up and down the country and the temperatures also slide back down.
This seven furlong handicap is very tricky – the Betdaq Betting Exchange tells you that but I’m drawn towards Iris Dancer who ran a cracker at Carlisle last time out when a close second to the William Haggas trained winner Razeyna.
She was still staying on at the end of that testing six furlong trip so the move up in trip to seven furlongs over the less testing Ayr configuration could be a smart move by trainer Tristan Davidson.
It’s slightly puzzling why she hasn’t been tried over this trip more than once in her 26 run career so far. She was beaten less than a length at Musselburgh on her sole previous start over seven furlongs and that came on soft ground so I hardly think stamina will be an issue.
The ones towards the top of the market are coming from stables that are struggling for form in the last couple of weeks. Brazen Bolt (John Quinn 1-15) and Diamondonthehill (Michael Does 1-25) don’t inspire confidence on that basis and I’m happy to back Iris Dancer to win 10 points in both the win and place markets on Betdaq. She was trading at 10.0 at 8.30am.
⭕ 5.15 Ayr One horse that won’t need to worry about travelling too far in the heat is Yaaser who makes the 30 mile hop from Jim Goldie’s yard.
The stable are going well with three winners from their last 10 and Yaaser might be able to improve those stats.
He’s another selection that’s stepping up in trip today and is form over longer trips hasn’t been great but that’s mainly been over 10 furlongs which now looks patently too far.
Judged on his latest effort here earlier in the month when he was a staying on fourth over a mile the mile looks worth another crack.
RED TO GET US INTO BLACK
⭕ 6.05 Ballinrobe It’s fair to say Red Azalea is looking exposed – the 38-423234 form figures tell you that but this is by far her easiest task to date.
Some of her placed efforts look exceptional in this company, notably her neck second to Emily Dickinson in April with the winner going on to finish a short head second in a Group 2 and fourth in Saturday’s Irish Oaks !!
Red Azalea’s more recent fourth to Ha Ha Ha was given a boost when the winner won next time out too and she can at last lose the maiden tag at the main expense of Roman Bull who was a good Limerick second.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
