RESERVE LANDS HANDICAP GAMBLE: A horse not listed as a runner crashed the market and stole the Irish Cesarewitch yesterday. Joseph O’Brien’s Putyourhandstogether landed a gamble for J P McManus at 7-1 joint favourite, though only second reserve, getting in because of two late non-runners (one trained O’Brien) and the withdrawal of the first reserve.
SPEND 16-1 WINNINGS ON THE ARC: Says Daqman: ‘I won’t be putting my hands together for that one! The Irish kindly let me take home a 16-1 Kerry National winner on Wednesday so I won’t play there again this year. I’ll concentrate on the Arc and British Champions Day.’

HE’S A HAMILTON STAAR
⭕ 3.00 Hamilton Soft ground forecast at Hamilton this afternoon so stamina counts more than ever particularly with the steep finish.
This one mile handicap looks open and cases can be built for all nine runners but I like the recent form and proven soft ground ability of Arkenstaar – a four time course and distance winner here and on each occasion there has been soft in the going description.
The Michael Dods trained runner was only narrowly denied here last time for C&D win number five and can snap an unusually long losing sequence for the trainer.
Ey Up Its Jazz also enjoys the testing ground and looks the biggest danger after making all to win at Thirsk last month. He should still go close despite the 3lb hike in the weights.
COROLLA HAS A POINT
⭕ 4.10 Hamilton Corolla Point looks the best of the three-year-olds in this class 3 sprint and I think there could be a lot more to come from this lightly raced runner now in the care of Edward Bethell.
He made a winning start for his new yard at Haydock last time out when he had plenty in hand when justifying favouritism. Further improvement is mandatory here if he is to follow up in a higher grade and with a 7lb hike in the weights but on the plus side he is a soft ground winner – on debut at Yarmouth.
The Betdaq Betting Exchange points to the biggest danger likely to come from the Jim Goldie trained Eternal Sunshine who ran a cracker when third in the Ayr Bronze Cup ending a sequence of three runs on the bounce. Inevitably the handicapper has had his say and he now has to do it off a career high mark.
NO LOVE HERE
⭕ 4.30 Brighton Love You Back continues to be a friend of the layers. With form figures of 066-6534232 he has been a beaten favourite in four of his last six races and looks opposable again at the top of the market.
Just Adair has been a revelation since moving to handicap company with two wins from two at Windsor having showed precious little in three starts previously. He had more in hand than the official three quarters of a length would suggest last time out and the resulting 4lb hike looks manageable.
Stakes are kept low today in the hope that one winner from the three will show a profit on the Daqman staking plan below.
