YORK PREVIEW TODAY AND TOMORROW: After sensational day-after-day profits for a whole week last week, Daqman’s bets are back to the minimum while he buries his head in facts and figures for the big York meeting (five days from Wednesday) as follows:

🗓️ Today: Fortune Cookies horses to follow includes York entries.
🗓️ Tomorrow: Big-race secrets of the Knavesmire; jockeys and trainers.

THE CALM BEFORE THE STORM: DAQMAN arrives in North Yorkshire on Monday with three bets at Catterick with hopefully some points in the bag for the high-profile action to come this week.

FORTUNE COOKIES’ LUCKY 15

🏇 ADDEYBB We said we’d bring back Addeybb for the autumn; Champion Stakes tilts in September and October followed by Australia in November.

🏇 ARAMON Our first Fortune Cookie for the Jumps was brought onto the list early so that we could bet in the Galway Plate. He won at 7-1.

🏇 ART POWER This is our Nunthorpe bet to beat Battaash. He boosted his standing by defeat of Millisle before that one won four lengths in the Ballyogan.

🏇 BATTLEGROUND We were on him at Goodwood for his Vintage Stakes success and he could be another hot Cookie in the Curragh Futurity on Saturday.

🏇 CAMPANELLE Frankie Dettori is staying on in France after the weekend double of Mishriff and Palace Pier to ride his American-trained Queen Mary winner in next Sunday’s Prix Morny.

🏇 CHIL CHIL The Ayr Gold Cup is the likely target for Andrew Balding’s smooth Ascot winner earlier this month.

🏇 DANDALLA Completed a hat-trick for us at the July Meeting. Likes soft ground.

🏇 DASHING WILLOUGHBY For the Lonsdale Cup at York, we’re bringing back the horse that was on this list when he won the Queens Vase last year. Landed a summer double and looks back to full strength.

🏇 DREAM OF DREAMS Nine times second, Sir Michael Stoute’s bridesmaid dramatically turned the corner at Newbury last week with a storming seven-lengths success in the Hungerford Stakes.

🏇 ENABLE The most rewarding of Fortune Cookies, now heads for the Arc.

🏇 FANCY BLUE Won the French Oaks for us under Jean-Charles Boudot, and doubled up in the Nassau for Ryan Moore.

🏇 FANNY LOGAN Landed the Hardwicke for us on the soft, and more to come in the autumn.

🏇 HIGHEST GROUND Beaten a neck in the Dante, and you can be sure Sir Michael Stoute will get him back into the winner’s enclosure.

🏇 KAMEKO Our Guineas winner is on target for the York International after his unlucky run in the Sussex Stakes

🏇 LUCKY VEGA Scintillating winner of the Phoenix Stakes and entered up in all the big juvenile events.

MURPHY’S LAW AT CATTERICK

⭕ 1.15 Catterick Altalune has shown more than enough in two starts to suggest she will be hard to beat in this modest looking maiden.

Trainer Amy Murphy is in cracking form with 5 winners from her last 21 runners, with all the shorter ones in the betting running well.

Altalune made a promising start at Ripon when finishing second to Ataser and was then sent to Deauville (it’s easy to see why as the race was THREE times the value of the Ripon race) where she finished fourth. She was running on inside the final furlong and this step up to seven furlongs should suit perfectly.

Night Moment sets a fair standard but needs to concede plenty enough weight all round after his easy win at Musselburgh. He has since been beaten at 1/3 (back at Musselburgh) and was fourth at Yarmouth last time out suggesting the penalty is proving an anchor.

LOOK OUT FOR LOUIS

⭕ 1.45 Catterick look Out Louis hasn’t won since May last year but the handicapper has nudged him down another pound after a good third over course and distance last time out.

Tim Easterby remains in good form and Look Out Louis has run well in both of his previous starts at Catterick and has winning form on good to soft ground – suggesting he should be able to cope with the forecast soft conditions.

He is preferred to market leader Redrosezorro who is another who likes the course and the ground but he just looks too high in the handicap at the moment – 5lb above his last winning mark.

The Big House is another Catterick specialist but didn’t show much at Beverley last time out.

COMETH THE HOUR

⭕ 2.50 Catterick Four non runners here which should make finding the winner easier – but it remains very competitive with five of the remaining eight runners disputing favouritism in the early BETDAQ market !

Richard Hannon’s Shanghai Rock takes a massive drop in class and hasn’t been totally disgraced. The fact he heads north on the A1 on a Monday for this perhaps should be heeded.

Whilst he has finished sixth in all three starts – they have come twice at Newbury and at Ascot. This will be much easier but to counter enthusiasm Hannon is 0/8 from his Catterick runners over the last five seasons.

A safer play might be Cometh The Man who has experience of testing ground and doesn’t look too harshly treated.

DAQMAN’S BETS (staked to win 10 points):
BET 8.3pts win (nap) ALTALUNE (1.15 Catterick)
BET 2.2pts win LOOK OUT LOUIS (1.45 Catterick)
BET 3.0pts win COMETH THE MAN (2.50 Catterick)

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro.. Or just 10p to win!

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
