12-1 CHIPS NETS 275 POINTS PROFIT: ‘Put Your Chips Down at Ascot’, declared Daqman yesterday, and Loose Chips (WON 12-1) completed a sensational week’s tipping, which hauled in a grand total of 275 points from six winning days out of the seven, including three bankers in a row among four naps (full story of the week below):
WON 12-1 Loose Chips
WON 4-7 Dream Castle (banker nap)
NATIONAL COUNTDOWN TOMORROW: It’s the Grand National on Saturday and Daqman, who has just won the Lincoln at 20-1, and won last year’s Aintree marathon at 33-1, tells you his personal story of winner-finding for the race and presents his ABC guide which did so well at Doncaster (see below).
DAQMAN MONDAY: Four selections for DAQMAN today as he bids to continue his incredible run of form including a 5.1 banker at Kelso.

1-2-3 IN THE ABC: NOW FOR AINTREE
Stats and facts are not enough, say the ‘experts.’ Well, as declarations for the Grand National are made this afternoon and published on Tuesday, you can expect my ABC Guide on Wednesday morning, buoyed on by Saturday’s Lincoln result.
It was certainly enough of a Lincoln guide as the first eight in the Daqman ABC guide for the race, published last Friday, produced six of those that finished in the front eight at the business end of the race:
1 Bravery (20-1)
2 Oh This Is Us (7-2)
3 Donncha (7-1)
6 Eddystone Rock (33-1)
7 Steel Train (28-1)
8 Zhui Feng (14-1)
*EARLY BIRD bets for the Flat have won two races out of five so far with Bravery (WON 20-1) and Dream Castle (WON 4-7) for 17.50 points profit.
MONBEGGING TO BE BACKED AT KELSO
2.00 Ludlow Tintern Theatre has been quite highly tried of late and should find this drop down to class 4 much easier. He is a previous winner at this course over two miles and has demonstrated since that he is well suited to this further trip. The Nigel Twiston Davis yard has been hitting the crossbar plenty in the last 14 days with 6 placed horses in his last 19 runners and now could be the time for a breakthrough. At 5.2 on BETDAQ he looks a bit of value.
3.00 Ludlow A tightly knit contest where all five can be given a chance of some sort but preference at the current prices is for Avispa. A two time winner over hurdles, she was in the form of her life when last seen making all in a novice hurdle at Stratford to win by 19 lengths. That was last July however and there will be a question mark over her fitness but that seems to be incorporated into her price. With the Alan King yard going well with 3 winners in the last 14 days she looks worth a chance at 4.3 on the BETDAQ Exchange.
4.40 Kelso Monbeg Aquadude took a real step forward at Ffos Las last time winning his maiden well and could be a horse to follow now entering handicap company. The form of his point-to-point win looks exceptional now with the runner up finishing third in the Supreme Novice Hurdle at Cheltenham and off a mark of 122 he should have plenty more to give. The ground and trip should be no issue and the Scudamore’s have a good partnership when teaming up boasting a 13% strike rate from 54 rides in the last 3 seasons. The 5.1 available on BETDAQ looks very appealing.
5.20 Huntingdon Those with experience here look beatable so the newcomer Buckby Boy is of interest. He is a half-brother to a useful flat/hurdle performer and looks a likely type on paper for a bumper. Dan Skelton has done well in this sphere this season and has been firing in the winners of late with 9 in the last 14 days. The 7.0 available on BETDAQ looks worth a small investment.
