DAQMAN TRACKS DOWN BIG OFFERS: Today Daqman looks ahead to more big races next weekend and takes BETDAQ morning offers of 6.20, 11.0 and 21.0 on three different tracks today.

MULLINS MOB-HANDED FOR AYR

Scottish Champions. Willie Mullins followed up his Grand National 1-2-3-5 with a Grade 2 novice hurdle 1-2-3-4-5 at Fairyhouse yesterday.

Some 21 Mullins horses could be heading for Ayr on Saturday, and that’s in just two top races, Champion Hurdle and Scottish Grand National (3.35).

Willie stepped in late last year and won the National with McDermott (Danny Mullins) at 18-1. He also saddled fourth, fifth and sixth; had one pulled up and one unseated rider.

So we can expect around half of his 13 entries to accept: McDermott is entered again and the likely front of the market contains Quai De Bourbon, Chosen Witness and High Class Hero.

Earlier in the day, three from the Cheltenham Festival are probables for the Champion Hurdle.

Kargese, Absurde and Ethical Diamond, Mullins winner, third and fourth in the County Hurdle, could all three accept.

Classic Trials Meanwhile, trying to top the late-season jumping drama, are the early-bird Classic trialists on the Flat.

The Fred Darling (2.10) for three-year-old fillies and the Greenham Stakes (2.45) for colts.

Ralph Beckett has trained the winner of the Fred Darling five times since 2005, including in 2023 with the Kingman filly, Remarquee.

Richard Hannon (Barney Roy 2017 and Chindit 20211) is the winnngmost modern trainer in the Greenham.

One of the winners, Kingman himself in 2014, would also sire British Champions Sprint winner Kinross for Beckett.

GREAT CHANCE BY THE SEASIDE

⭕ 3.27 Redcar Yorkshire first again! While Doncaster keeps its hold on the Lincoln – the first major handicap on the Flat – Redcar stages the first seaside meeting.

Its speciality races are over a mile and here’s one at class-3 level, mainly hogged by Yorkshire trainers at bargain prices.

LAYS LOGIC: If I could live in that county, it would be close by David O’Meara’s yard at Helmsley but, in a race no outright favourite has won in the decade, its current record is 16 straight losers. Not a good omen for Barefoot Warrior’s handicap debut at 2.36 on BETDAQ this morning.

Michael Dods has won this race twice in the decade but is on such a losing streak that six of his last 11 runners have been ‘any price’: 25-1 four times; 33-1 and 50-1.

Alice Haynes took the last running of this race for Newmarket, and George Boughey (31% strike rate at Redcar) seemed to have a good chance of an HQ follow-up with Classic Encounter but the gelding was a big drifter in early exchanges.

Empire Of Light was beaten just a length and a half in the Straight Mile final here in October, but it’s a worry that he’s been unable to put his head in front yet form figures of 2332224 have moved him steadily up the handicap.

The answer to this puzzle may be Great Blasket (BETDAQ 11.0 taken), who landed a hat-trick last Spring, has dropped down the handicap for AW defeats in the autumn and is saddled by the Richard Newland team, which has current figures of 11201.

MUSIC TO MY EARS ON BETDAQ

⭕ 3.15 Kelso Gordon Elliott’s Aintree was like his Cheltenham: just one late winner at Aintree (Honesty Policy) to match one late winner at Cheltenham (Wodhooh).

Good To Be Alive (1.45 Kelso 4.4) and Music Of Tara (in this 3.15) have Sean Bowen booked, after his Grand National ride for Gordon on Three Card Brag.

Three Card Brag is in the Scottish National on Saturday but that obviously comes too soon and Will Do, third in the NH Chase at Cheltenham, is Elliott’s ‘one most likely to’.

Music Of Tara, a Listed-level performer, acts on any going and is a big price here because she had no kind of race in the Kim Muir at Cheltenham.

On her form before that she is a value offer at 6.2 on BETDAQ this morning.

FALLON BOOKED ON 20-1 SHOT

⭕ 8.30 Kempton The Somerset stable of Jeremy Scott is currently on a roll with 113110 figures in the last 10 days, and Frankel’s son, Bye Bye Salem, makes his handicap debut, with Cieren Fallon an unusual booking. BETDAQ 21.0.
